Clark - Clark (Nov. 3rd 2014)

Lol yeah these edits were pretty pointless. Listened to the digital files and after that I dragged them into the bin. A waste of good wax... I'm not gona open it and see if anyone's dying to get it several decades from now.

Had a listen to some Clark on a stroll round the park earlier. Nice sunny day, autumnal vibes, good choons.

Personally I think this album is Clark's best since Empty the Bones of You - Winter Linn, Banjo - so many stompers meant to be played LOUD.

I liked parts of each of his releases over the years, but Clark is Clark's most consistently good release (for me) since ETBOY. I really think he's established himself as one of the frontrunners of the electronic music scene.

I'm really feeling this album. I like how it feels a little more minimal and dare I say 'quantized' than other recent efforts from him. There's A Distance In You is pretty much stuck in my head nonstop. That synth melody & pads that drop in around 0:35 are soooo lush.

I'm ashamed to say this is actually my first taste of this album. I love Clark but with all the other stuff in my ears lately I just haven't had time. is the rest of album on the same wavelength as Winter Linn? it's lovely.

winter linn is def a highlight but the album is fantastic

I agree, for me clark in his peak is long gone.

while I respect turning dragon, I still think clark is massively overated in this forum. yes he changed his sound, but I dont know, theres something that dont catch me in clark music. I get NO emotional content whatsoever from clark music. nada, non existent.

all I know is that I respect a like turning dragon and love body riddle, still I dont even listen to those album 2 times a year. theres something I just dont want to revisit in clark music. dont know why, but its obvious for me.

IMO, the new clark sounds literally cliché, bad melodies, songs that go nowhere, banal drum work. a seriously ordinary album. the most pop sounding clark ever sounded.

I find this album really bad.

not a grower for me, I just cant wait to end the damn album and never listen to it again.
