if anyone cares the dettman edit starts quite promising but than it's just like the original track, maybe a bit reduced. the pariah remix is even more different heh

"live" show in berlin was pretty meh... but i danced hard and unfurled hidden complex emotions nevertheless

Yeah that single seems like it's basically just versions for DJs, which is a great, but not intended for the home-listening IDM crowd.

Gotta say I was expecting more from Edits...

But agreed - his stuff always sounds amazing really loud, and when it's bitterly cold outside. Dunno why.

Unfortunately I'm not really feeling this album. On the first listen welcomed the return of funky and glitchy elements that I liked from pre-Iradelphic Clark releases, even though it was noticeably more subtle. During subsequent listens I started to notice I didn't like the sequencing. Some songs transition well from one to the next, some don't at all. Or maybe it's not the transitions, but the mood between songs just doesn't really evolve in any particular way. I kind of feel my enjoyment of the album would be the same no matter what order the songs were in. With my latest listen, I just felt rather bored due to a combination of the things I mentioned - the clarky bits are too subtle and the album sequencing doesn't excite me. While I do enjoy this more than Iradelphic, I don't consider it a return to form.

Would be cool if he did a fantasm planes for this album too. The alt version of Winter Linn, re-furla, and new tune shall i wait that he played on the benji b mix are so nice. It'd make for a great follow up ep. (I just want these alt tunes though really)
