OK just to confuse matters even more I am mastering the same version as John now. The version I remastered was the same recording but mono taken from the You Tube version. As you know this was a bugger to master due to the phase shifting of the person recording in the A(e)udience. How I wish Autechre would release soundboard recordings of their live shows. We would all buy them for sure.

This stereo version is the chain = Fabfilter Proeq2, PSP Vintage Warmer and then FabFilter Saturn http://www.fabfilter.com/products/saturn-multiband-distortion-saturation-plug-in

ah nice, I think the vintage warmer really made the difference. The closest thing I used to that in my chain was SPLtube, which is less of a saturator and more of a harmonic enhancer (sort of aphex aural exciter style). You were able to get more gain of our yours without compromising the detail. great shit! im about halfway through right now

at around 47 minutes into the KRakow show it sounds like Autechre making a new mortal kombat fm synth soundtrack in the style of the original MK1 arcade game

yall both kill too much bass imo, the part from 31 and on sounds meatier on the original (this original: https://archive.org/details/Autechre-Warp25-Krakow).

might make sense to actually do slightly different mastering chains on different sections of the set.

does anybody know of a really surgical VSt/au EQ plugin that lets you zoom in on 0-100hz range but make really fine tuned adjustments? Equilibrium seems like it should do it but I can't figure out how.

I just gave the source mp3 to Brian Albers, the same guy who did a truly amazing job on the Montreal 2001 Autechre Soundboard. Hopefully he does his own master of Krakow

FabFilter Pro2 does the surgical eq. I agree about our mixes taking the boom od the bass out but I found it way too boomey so much so that it killed the mids and highs. My mix could have done with a tad more bass, but I was pretty happy with the end result.
