Future Brown on Warp WTF?

 

for real? What is this shit and why is this released on warp?

It's very, very shit. Sounds like Minaj feat. J-Lo. Warp must be branching out to urban chav pop.

Pretty much the same thought goes through my mind about almost any Warp signing from the last 10 years. Not really an issue though, I've just moved on other labels and just occasionally check in for any Afx/Ae/Boc/Squarepusher stuff.

I'm still cool with Warp, as long as they don't sign bands like Maximo Park or something

It is really hard to fathom what Warp was thinking with this addition. Out of all the bands with "fb" as their initials, this one is not warp-appropriate. Here's a better "fb" band, much more deserving of Warp's legacy:

Seriously though, is this any good?

Fatima Al Qadiri was getting a lot of press in the last two years in indie publications and she is in Future Brown, so that could've had something to do with their signing.
