I got around to listening to this, seriously average music. Funny controversy really.

Warp i aint surprised you signed them but i hope they move away from this fad music via well connected musicians.. It was a test that failed massively i think. Almost embarrassingly even

yeh..I like footwork if it's done well, i.e. Chicago djs, mark pritchard etc...but this fb is not that and is truly mediocre (at best).

Hopefully imminent releases by classic Warp artists will swing the label back on course in 2015!

I can't fault Warp for wanting to dabble in other genres, if they didn't we probably wouldn't have had Battles and such, but this just isn't good music... It sounds like a slightly trappier Nicki Minaj...

I was thinking about this more today, there's far better stuff that was coming out 4-5 years ago that sounds more edgey, futuristic, etc. coming from the dubstep's left-field producers (all that post-dubstep/future bass/future garage stuff) Oft more aggressive than poppy, but still.

They set themselves up to fail really. Those articles articulate far better then i could.

I just dont get it, its sounds like a terrible grime / trap / pop crossover.. They make it then they get all pissy when theyre called out haha

It's not so much the music as the all-consuming need to oversell it so fucking completely.

Hard to listen to it and not grade it like an essay now.
