I'm sorry to keep railing on about this, but I just can't understand how Warp could be content to lose talent like Seefeel and yet sign artists like this. I'm not saying that Future Brown lacks talent; rather, they just sound pretty mediocre, like a band I'd expect high schoolers to listen to. Fun-loving, multicultural PC college kids. Their visual sensibilities are lacking, their style is too run of the mill. I'd wish them well on another label, but it is all the more painful when I noticed that Seefeel isn't on Warp's current roster anymore, which seems to suggest no future releases planned or encouraged, at least by Warp.

I guess I have to remind myself that Warp is a business, not really about artists and art. I'd expect that Future Brown will move units, and that's what this is about. I gather that the epynomous "Seefeel" album didn't "perform" as well as the Businessmen at Warp wanted, and so they were axed. Or perhaps there's some other story lurking in the background that we're not aware of. I don't know, but I am kinda cheesed about Warp's direction lately.

I guess thats what its about. Friends of mine where signed to a major and after the 2nd LP did not sell as expected they where instantly axed

I don't know what that means, but you're right. I go in peace, and my search for my favorite record label goes on. There are still some great acts on Warp, but some of my other favorites are either dying off, getting dropped, or apparently giving up on life. Fuck it. Moving on.

Also, you dummies keeping this thread alive just got me to download the whole album. After reading the lyrics I really am curious if this was just done as a sort of pantomime of "ignorant rap" (which has been done to death already) or if they just wanted to make "turn up music".

Finally got to hear what all the fuzz is about... Just heard the album and enjoyed it. Had a bit of a laugh at the cheesy autotune stuff at times, but overall the tracks are produced very well: it's all pretty subtle instead of actual pop music that hurts my ears like hell. At least I can now enjoy catchy pop-ish stuff this time around.

Not one I'm going to play a lot, but the tracks with Tink and tracks like Dangerzone, Talking Banz, Speng or Asbestos are all deece. Already a worthless comparison, but I'm already into this way more than that new Prodigy album.

Big Homie is kinda awful but also very catchy, it's making me angry but I can't stop listening to it

I prefer future brown/booth
