Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Surprised more people aren't repping this one! I thought it was pretty universally loved. It's itching for first place to me. (Not counting elseq though just cause it's not really a proper album, plus we all know itd win anyway. Where's the fun?)

can't remember who normally does this, or if it even is done by a regular person. anyway, post your contenders for AOTY itt (LPs only, let's have a separate thread for EPs) and let's follow with a poll for the top picks.

I like it! :nacmat: embrace the 80s synth-cheese. this track is well-lush, probably my fave of the album:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z_nE0-SXRI

I wouldn't have seen myself getting into this sort of thing a year ago but I heard Dangerous Days which preceded this and it totally won me over.

more generally,my tastes are drifting away from the watmmassive more and more. I listened to metal more than anything else this year, which is reflected in my list. elseq largely satisfied my electronic desires, I found myself more drawn to other stuff.

how fucking loud is this mastered! i had to turn my volume wayyy down immediately after hitting play. i've liked his stuff before and obviously it's always been loud but that was horrible.

I've been listening to the new music via Spotify every day I worked all year and I am still way behind.

The new oval is a lot of fun, it's very cohesive, arguably too samey but I like that about it.

more cohesion would be nice after all the scattered fragments of O. that was the last Oval I heard.
