Is there a difference between a "nurse" and a "registered nurse".  if not, why does every nurse seem to mention that registered part?  Kind of redundant.  Unless it isn't.

I can tell I'm getting old because lately I've been into stuff that's about 25 years out of date.  If you're in to stuff that's more like 15 years out of date like I used to be then you're ahead of the curve, but 25 years out of date and you're just following the latest fad.

I’m 32 but whenever I talk to people maybe 2 or 3 years younger than me, they haven’t heard of anything more than 10-15 years old. 

Someone at work mentioned seeing a giant rat outside, so I made a Princess Bride reference and like 4 people had never heard of the movie. Culture is dying.

I've always lived by the smell test - I'll happily keep, and eat, things well past their sell-by date as long as they smell/taste/look alright. Cheese? Cut the mouldy bit out, the rest is fine you wuss. Pasta? Don't be dumb, pasta never goes off. But today I met my match. Natural yoghurt. It smells and tastes sour anyway.

I've seen that reference in two different games but have never seen the film from whence it originated. And I'm 35 now.

But I still like Kubrick films, Taxi Driver, Blade Runner, Aliens, Akira, Koyaanisqatsi, etc.

You really ought to watch Princess Bride.

I have a coworker that's like 25 and doesn't know who Charles Manson is. This in particular made me feel old since Manson was such an infamous figure, but has largely gone unmentioned in popular culture throughout the past 10-15 years.

Even the Mona Lisa's falling apart.

CM was in Mindhunter.  Surely the zoomers know Mindhunter.  Or that last Tarantino film.  Then again... they'd probably assume those are fictional characters.  Kids these days.

I always thought Merzbow makes noise music because it's just fucked up noises and what's not to like about that? But it seems he tries to express the pain of animal cruelty in industrial life stock farming. I for some reason got his email address so I could ask him if that's even true but I don't care about his music enough to do that.

I just had postnasal drip that tasted just like cocaine. I haven't done that stuff in ages but that's exactly what it was.

Supposedly Steve-O snorted some HIV positive sprinkled coke blood but he's fine. No HIV to be found I guess since the virus doesn't live for long when it's been lightly sprinkled on some cocaine. Science. 

I also remember during the 2016 presidential debates that the late Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) pointed out that Trump's sniffing was "absolutely" a symptom of the smack.
