Aphex Twin at Funkhaus, Berlin (1st November 2018)

Tickets are currently on sale again, I just bought another one for a friend.

it's not about the concert itself, i don't need to take pictures or whatever. in fact i think it's a good idea so that you stop focussing on that thing and dance away. maybe just wanted to send a small clip to my wife to give her an impression of where i am :-D... the problem is more: what if you meet the artists and ask them for a picture? would be sad not to have the possibility...

They do it at practically every club so Funkhaus wouldn't surprise me. And as for not being able to take a photo with the artist.... Thing is people just don't ask for that here. I dunno, photos and videos in clubs in general in Berlin is just not the done thing.

well funkhaus is not a "club" really, but i see your point, berlin's a bit special. so what, in the end the moment counts!

er-20 are fine for a gig, and its not the end of the world if you lose one

i bought myself the expensive elacin ones as i will need them in the future too. they are customised for your ears. really curious what they will sound like!

As they were going, I got my nephew who moved to Berlin recently a ticket.... the little innocent chap will not know what the hell hit him!

Just bought my ticket! Will be my first time seeing him (and Luke Vibert) live (since stupid Arvika festival went bankrupt the year that they booked him...), very exciting!

I'm leaving from Tegel airport the next morning, does anyone have any suggestion for a good place to stay? I had hoped to try a capsule hotel or something like that but some quick googling didn't provide any hits. Maybe I'll just go straight from the after party to the airport and slumber there...

Hi everyone, I know this is kind of short notice, but just wanted to say that I'm going by car from Munich to Berlin on Thursday, so if any of you fine fellows should need a lift anywhere along the way, just PM me. 

 

Pretty stoked about this gig; I'm a longtime fan, but inexplicably never saw the man perform in the flesh until now. This is going to be good.

You're probably sorted by now, but I went for the V-Moda Faders VIP. Bought them expressly for this show, so haven't really tried them out in the wild as yet, but I've heard some good things about them and also tested them at home with Collapse EP on eleven -- sounded pretty good, highs were a tad muffled, but that's to be expected I guess.

yep, even with the very expensive ones, highs get a bit muffled, but it's ok and waaay better than other earplugs. those highs are also the "bad" frequencies, so... and with a big soundsystem it will be totally ok i guess!

It seems that Skee Mask's been added to the bill.

wtf, now it's officialy one of the best line-ups ever. I was happy with Turin because of Skee Mask but the Berlin line-up has kind of eclipsed all that. DJ Nigga Fox is going to be an endurace test.
