saw a comment elsewhere that they were trading off playing tracks, taking turns. Was this mentioned somewhere that I missed? I always assumed they were sync’d up and jammin together simultaneously. I mean, who knows ofcourse but it sure feels like two at once to me.

I finally gave all sets a listen. Current favorites are Madrid and Lisbon B, but all of them are really impressive. I love the "in your face" style they went for

I find Rennes a little less cohesive than the others from that grouping. I was leaning towards Madrid as my fav of that group but now that Ive also rinsed Barcelona as much, I think that is my fav. The 2nd half of that is just brutal and relentless, and it leaves me like this

I think that the prevalence of silly Billy memes for Autechre is a reaction to the sheer otherworldly fuckery of this. I actually started laughing at the 19.9 GB zip and the nearly 4 minutes it took for the product to transfer onto my player. This is just a few minutes shy of an entire day's worth of material. I will be honest: I can't actually digest it. It's just like baby perception--certain things will come into focus and I'll drool-smile and then it's back to confusion. I'm grabbing on to Cookie Monster just to stay grounded
