people getting more vocal about things is level-setting for a new start. at least that’s how i look at it.

everyone responds differently to this stuff being touchy or abnormal in everyday discussion, which i totally get… i’ve responded to shit it stupid/cringey/overblown ways because of personal life issues clouding general human interactions. that doesn’t mean overreactions aren’t still a bit silly but just laying out the formula for how i think things have gotten a bit heat(/night)ed here lately.

Is this a bad time to mention I've noticed some anomalies with the forum again?

I guess this is sarcastic? I would distinguish "identity politics" from woke vs. anti woke - framing the whole thing as woke vs anti woke in my eyes is what allows people like Trump to win, it boils it down to a strawman caricature of left wingers and corners people into arguing about language instead of talking about the rights and freedoms of actual people (not that language can't be important).. but I dunno maybe that's too complicated to get into on a thread about the new forum
