keyosc.com discussion

I just wanna post cool videos and keep keyosc.com flying with more activity. 

I'm not really interested in boycotting stuff, I mean AFX, U-Ziq, and Squarepusher use X. U-Ziq uses it most frequently of the three, but I think they all have blue-checks so they are even paying X 

I've had a twitter account for 5 years, way before Elon bought twitter. I decided to keep using cause I like the format for social media and I have a good social network of accounts I follow.

I still think you're missing the overall point but ok. Anyway, my original suggestion was to disable the embeds. Feel free to post shit from that platform but it should appear as a link with the option to click rather than loading automatically.

Keyosc.com is a music forum. I enjoy the political threads here but I just think the political angle should be secondary. I would like to see keyosc.com as a welcoming place that thrives for people who first and foremost love Electronic music. I doubt limiting X content is gonna have the effect of increasing activity. There are tons of European and left-wing accounts on X. 

That being said, I am in no way not going to contribute on keyosc.com if you get what you and others want toaoaoad. Cheers!

Off-topic, I got my wisdom teeth removed today, which means I can't smoke cigarettes for 7 days. So probably gonna be posting a lot til then to calm my anxiety. 

Are we still positive Joyrex is sticking with June as a timeline for WATMM to shut down? I kinda wanna ride this place out like the captain in the Titanic before I move over to keyosc.com. 

Only been here a few months, but it's been a great time overall so I kinda feel sad abandoning ship. What's everyone else plans as far as posting here more? 

@everyone not wanting to discuss this or that: how about you just don't and that's that?

there's various other was to get nicotine.. those little pouches, the gum which you could chew w/your other teeth then kinda suck on a while to get the nicotine. put  a cigarette up your nose and smoke it through your nostrils

I'm using a patch, I should be ok. Maybe will try smoking through my nose unless that's a joke? Never heard or seen that one before lol

Was thinking I could have a friend smoke a cigarette in my small bathroom and hot box or something but that may just make me want to smoke more idk. Thanks for the tips!

Christ you're an idiot. I won't even dignify any of this with a response.

Anyway, this isn't about me being "woke" or whatever, I'm not "personally offended" by this misuse of the pronoun field it's more that objectively speaking it's a super cringe move on the part of the #1 admin of a brand new site that aims to grow its user base with fresh blood in 2025. It's the simple fact that "we" want keyosc to thrive and grow, as many have said in these various threads. Aphex in particular is attracting a lot of young people. Lots of the people who are both a) young and b) into weird music like aphex are also most likely aligned with the LGBTQ+ community, certainly from what I've seen anyway. There are people out there who will feel like this is not their place if a pronoun field is used for jokes by the site administrator, people who might otherwise have great contributions to the site. I'm not making this up, it's just how it is. I realize I've become a bit of an edgelord here so it's easy to dismiss what I'm saying simply because I'm kind of an asshole sometimes. But I assure you, stuff like this will keep new people from joining, and it will just become another pathetic circle-jerk of 50+ year olds still laughing at "huh huh huh that's gay", in which case Joyrex was absolutely right to pull the plug on this shit.
