Invision Board cloud hosting. Their servers are based in the US. We (the team putting keyosc together) will have a discussion about this. It's a legitimate concern.

Probably say no to another subforum, politics is definitely a part of general banter. I believe with the tagging system we are putting in place on keyosc you may be able to filter out political discussions though.

Hmmm, decisions, decisions ...

The "ignore topic" function has been generally useful for this. I've been able to tune out most political threads when I've wanted to. Yeah political subject matter does seep into non-political threads (byproduct of living in a dystopian world where everything is breaking down) but most members seem to be good about reining it in when that happens. All that said, does the new site retain the ignore topic function?

Will this site when its no longer, have a link to keyosc.com so people know who don't know yet? 

Also: I've said it before, maybe seemed sarcastic but I mean it - disable twitter embeds.

I'm fine with politics being in General Banter.

I do find it a tad annoying the embed takes a little bit to load, but I've had a decent number of likes from people here for X posts regarding Animals, favorite videos, birds thread and other stuff. Why eliminate this feature/eliminate more content to post on keyosc.com?

Because twitter ought to be boycotted at all costs. I understand lots of people are still using it because it's what they're used to, but it's time to cut the cord man.

This forum in Soul browser... Quotes are almost unreadable. 

I don't think X is gonna die because keyosc doesn't allow embeds... you're just limiting more posts on keyosc.com

I'm not getting into any more arguments on here lol. I've spoken and my point stands, I'm sure others feel the same so they can speak up from here.

most of that stuff was sourced from other places/has been posted other places.

you can also steal it and repost it yourself. less clicks/eyes that X gets, the better.

Sorry if this ended up seeming personal, it's not. Lots of ppl are still posting twitter embeds on here. Small actions like making it harder to widely share content from that platform will hopefully add up to a greater shift away from using it altogether. Also, lots of us (?) just don't want to see stuff that's hosted there, regardless of the content. Having an "X" embed load in a thread feels like lowkey being forced to participate in that nazi shitshow. The content itself is secondary at this point.

No (get=0) politics would be ideal! 

New topic. Just an idea but maybe the "admin" of a brand new site shouldn't have a fucking joke in the pronoun field. I'm still pretty sure that transphobic bullshit is what killed watmm in the first place. We're not off to a great start if that's going to continue, especially by the site administrator.
