ive gotten to level 2 a couple of times

whenever i deathmatch i'm practically always nr.1 with the most kills and money, so i easily get there

but its really tiresome if it always goes back to 0

i've heard im not the only one with this problem?

im rank 4 already.

play shitloads of Hangman's NOOSE. you get about 5 grand every round and the game only usually lasts 3 minutes. easy as.

hell yeah im down with this. remember how hard it was just getting two people up though?

haven't experienced that problem (haven't really given multiplayer a real go yet), but every time i start playing after about 10 mins it freezes and i have to restart my xbox. everytime, never fails. after that happens and i restart, it plays fine for as long as i want to play, but you can almost bet on the fact that its going to crash 10 mins into your first game every time. annoying, but not so bad now that i expect it to happen.

does this happen to anyone else?

yeah, I was playing Team Deathmatch yesterday and it was almost as if I wasn't present; enemies would run past me, and as I shot them they'd lag this wya and that and never take damage, but never come after me either. Same eit hthe police, siresns would wail and the radar would flash but no cops or patrol cars ever approached me. Maybe chalk it up to processing lag because there's so much going on?

For some fucked up reason my internet has been downgraded from 6mbit to 1,5mbit so everything is going really, really slow right now. This also means that I won't be able to watch the newest episode of Lost for another 8 hours! Sorry guys, can't join you tonight. It would just be a lag-hell.

i set up a date with kiki and carmen, the two girls that become available on the dating site when you open up algonquin. i had the dates in my organizer and was watching the time as i really wanted to get their benefits once you've dated them enough (takes off your wanted level and the other girl heals you). anyways, i get a phone call about roman being taken. that mission automatically starts and then the reminder pops up about the dates. well because im "in a mission" i cant do anything about them and in turn, ive lost out on them.

oh well, just another reason to play the game again. i wont kill vlad either.

you know what this game needs? a halo 3 style video capturing function. how fuckin' awesome will that be? i'd love to see some of the creative stuff people come up with to do in this game.

yeah its too bad a lot of these bells and whistles weren't added. it seems like they tried very hard to keep the game as generally similar to the old games as they possibly could, perhaps a little too much.

haha i couldnt call and cancel because i didnt have their numbers. it was the first date for both of them and i stood them both up. oh well

and i totally agree on the replay thing. id love to save some of my crashs and sweet shoot outs.

also, someone just noticed that on the social club website theres a plane ticket with niko's name on it and the destination listed as san andreas. so whether thats a clue about the dlc or just a little nod to SA, who knows. but 360 owners will find out this fall.

somebody post a list of fun things to do in GTAIV on free roam. i'm gonna take a break from story mode and just fuck some shit up for awhile and i need some ideas.

i went to the airport and stole a baggage truck last night, which was pretty fun. it automatically gives you a 4 star wanted level when you drive onto the runway, so it's also a good way to get that achievement (which is either for keeping it for a certain amount of time or escaping from it...can't remember). that thing can pretty much plow through anything.

theres an achievement for getting rid of 4 stars, which i did by accident at the airport while trying to do the roll a car 5 times achievement. then theres the last 5 minutes while having a 6 star rating, which you can cheat by stealing a helicopter and flying into a part of the city that you arent suppose to be on yet and just flying around for the duration.

has anyone done the serial killer in the park missions? and apparently theres some sort of "pervert" missions. which i have no idea what they are.

• Having a fistfight on the edge of a tall building
• Tipping your helicopter blades sideways and plowing into a group of your mates
• Getting 3 friends and trying to make it from one side of the map to the other in a 4 door sedan on 6 stars.
• (for extra fun, use a bus)
• Doing backflips on a motorbike/barrel rolls in a car at the airport off those thin baggage ramps.
• Have a friend park a helicopter at the bottom of a tall building/crane. Jump off and land on the blades. You fly mad far.
• Drag race baggage carts on the runway.
• Get some friends and have a police shootout in the middle of a crossroad in Algonquin. (gets really hard at 5*)
• I usually wander about the airport when I'm in freeroam. There's plenty of space to do just about anything.

do i get a 360 to play this game or a ps3?

baring in mind that it is ''likely'' that they'll bring out the downloadable content for ps3 too (according to ps3 magazine)

i can't decide.

someone please tell me which one is better in the long run

I'm pretty sure they won't make the DLC available for the PS3. Microsoft would go postal on Rockstar's ass if they did that.

Apart from that, if you want to play some multiplayer against some of your WATMM pals, then I'd recommend it for the Xbox360.

but im quite up for trying out a ps3. i've already had a 360 once and sold it because i never used it. mainly due to the price of playing online.

also, killzone 2, metal gear solid 4 and haze look pretty sweet!

the rest of the games i would want are coming out on both (minus gears of war 2 and dead rising 2)

If you have the patience, you could wait a couple of months more and see if the Xbox360 BluRay rumour is true or not :)

Absolutely!

But to the only thing that makes me want to get a PS3 at the moment is "Little Big Planet" whereas I don't care for MGS4 or Killzone2. They look pretty but I've never really liked the MGS universe, and Killzone2 looks clumsy.

At this point, bearing in my mind that Blu-ray won.

When MGS4 comes out they're coming out with a new ps3 that has rumble controllers AND backwards compatibility. Now, if I didn't have either system (currently a 360 owner/player) I'd wait until june-something for that new edition of the ps3 and buy that. Although, 360's online is unmatched. So if you're doing alot of multiplayer that's the only downside, really.

so i rented the game, and i am having a lot of fun running around and stabbing people and stealing cars and mowing people down in mini vans etc, and i've gotten one phone call so far from Roman, and I tried doing the mission to kill the guy banging his wife, but he got away so easily (ie, he was turning corners and swerving through traffic like a champ, and i was taking out lamp posts and side swiping cop cars the whole way. eventually i got stuck and couldnt back out of a the most WIDE FUCKING SPACE ON EARTH (what is with the reverse on the cars? maybe i just suck but it feels broken). I tried getting in a different car and the cops shot and killed me.

just to add something here,

the ps3 WILL be getting DLC, however it will be released later than the fall (which is when the 360 gets their dlc) and it wont be the same as xbox's content.

and all the ps3 fanboys out there keep saying "LULZ ALL THE DLC IZ GONA B IS COSTUMEZ AND CARZ" are missing out on the whole "episodic" part of "episodic content".

i play multiplayer again today

rank back to 0!
