When MGS4 comes out they're coming out with a new ps3 that has rumble controllers AND backwards compatibility. Now, if I didn't have either system (currently a 360 owner/player) I'd wait until june-something for that new edition of the ps3 and buy that. Although, 360's online is unmatched. So if you're doing alot of multiplayer that's the only downside, really.

are you quitting out too early aftre the game ends?

If you jump out of multiplayer (ie not using the "next game" selection when you've returned to the lobby after a match) it won't save your rank/progress. seems like this isn't the issue, though....

do you have a ps3 or xbox? if its a ps3 then thats a common problem because of issues with their servers resetting.

also, the guy who had to pay 6 grand for a hospital visit, youre cheating arent you?

nah, he's not cheating. i'm on the bank robbing mission atm, got around $57000 in the bank, every time i die i shoots me down to $51000. fuckin' annoying. luckily i saved right before the mission, so i can just reload the save and keep my money. that percentage of your total income is fuckin' bullshit though.

speaking of, i'm kinda stuck on this mission. i can get out of the bank, down the street and through the subway, but when i come out the other side there are tons of cops and choppers surrounding the exit. my AI teammates are fuckin' useless and just stand there while i take down hundreds of cops (at one point i had them bottlenecked in a corridor and the bodies just kept piling up in the corner). the cops just keep coming and if i try to exit and escape, i always leave my teammates behind and have to go back for them. i think i'm missing the point of where exactly i'm supposed to be going. any tips?

this game is fucking sick. though i'm torn between doing all the side missions now or trying to finish the game in under 30 hours so i can get that achievement without having to play through the damn game twice.

also, rubin, i wasn't on my xbox when you invited me to play online. next time yo.

we're already pretty ace at cops n crooks, next time we play we'll have to try that ranked!

I'm trying to come up with some sort of "hide and seek" or "tag" game a bunch of us could play in free roam, ie pick an island and one guy to be "it", and then we have to track him down within a 20 minute limit or something. I'll have to fuss with the options for the player indicators so the "it" person doesn't apear on the map until you're within 2 blocks or so, but I think it could be fun.

Also, who wants to knife-fight on the edge of the Empire State? I'm up for it.

yeah I think the biggest group I've played with is maybe 4 or 5 of us? I've played with Pete/Vitriolic/Obelisong, Squee, Caustic, Vaxadrin and Alfred so far. Squee was hilariously non-committal about setting up play dates:)

Here's a gripe: the processing speed is lagging during my regular game when there's too much going on; this is making the 10 cars in 10 seconds quite a bitch. I pulled it off easily on the bridge ot Bohan with a Trashmaster and some handgrenades; instant 3 stars, but when I jumped over the rail and into the river...it did not freeze, but it just got stuck in a loop, I guess. My body was suspended in the animation of hitting the water (legs straight down, arms out and slightly bent) and I could not swim anywhere, just rotate in a circle in that spot. Sirens kept roaring, bullets whizzed by and never made contact, and the moment I hit pause it went black; no menu screen, no nothin'.

next-gen my fucking ass. Is there no way to bring a massive class action suit against Microsoft for some sort of fraud, for selling a machine that is purported to perform a certain way and does not? It's like saying a car gets 39 mpg when it gets 17.

The thing that wound me up about that achievement is police seem to mother fucking follow me everywhere and they always see me nick cars, it was a nightmare piling them together, but a single grenade did the trick in the end!

Has anyone tried to use the Rockstar Social Club? It says my XBL account is linked to my profile but it still hasn't registered that I own GTA. It's been like this for like 3 days now, in which time I've logged into XBL plenty of times. Anyone else having problems?

West side of the Alderney City area. It's literally on the western outskirts on that particular district, check the map in the case for the Alderney City area, I don't mean the island.

getting my cable hook-up on Wednesday, I'll be hitting some of you up towards the end of the week.

loving the missions now that I'm focused on them, and semi-obsessed with finding all the Random Characters. Anyone else find the Pathos encounter to be unnecessary pain in the ass? but I did find a pigeon in a tree in Star Junction as a result.

The Helicopter Tour achievement is not worth the effort, it's boring. I did three tours last night and just nodded off each time. finished it up this AM before work.

Oh and FUCKING LOL the "History of Liberty City" show is so funny. They even have some Hogarth engravings in there.

On and a question about KIKI: I took her out for the first date and even though she made a negative comment whe nI dropped her off, her fondness went up 6%. but I can't call her on my phone so...what now?
