try gothic games, the 3rd one especially (don't mind the low scores, the game was simply broken on release date..now, after 2 years of patches it's pretty flawless technically). the faction thing is so brilliantly done..you can basically play a double-triple-quadruple agent the whole game.

That sounds perfect. I've heard really good things about the Gothic games, but the bugs and the fact that it's PC only (I'm getting old, and am so busy at work I no longer have the patience I once did for downloading and installing patches, making space on my hard drive for a game I'll probably end up uninstalling, etc.) have turned me away. Should give them a try.

just finished playing this for a while... good game, it's no 10/10 but a damn good game nonetheless.

Has anyone done the mission where you have to follow the subway train in your car, so you can meet it at the next stop?

explain to me why i couldn't just drive to the next stop? it's on fucking rails people!!! i don't need to follow it, i have a fucking map. i know where it's going. but if you try to go straight there instead of running into buildings trying to follow the damn train, you "lose the target" and have to start over

i second the opinion about multiple save checkpoints within each mission. i hate having to drive across the city twice to start a race, and then lose and start all over. the video game rage is building inside of me.

don't get me wrong, this game is amazing, but there are still a ton of flaws. this is GTA IV, there is no excuse for the fact that half of the vehicles aren't drive-able. it's like driving on ice.

there are 2 stations en-route and i think you're not supposed to know which they're stopping at or something (same every time though anyway - always stops at the 2nd).

if ye get annoyed by the driving to missions then use a taxi! the edge review moaned about that as well but not once did i see mention of the taxis, you can use them to warp to anywhere on a road pretty much instantly by setting a waypoint and skipping the journey. you can't use them ALL the time but there aren't too many missions that force you to use a mission vehicle or have too many buddy characters to fit inside. some missions also skip a journey if you use a replay text.

hold on a sec. are you telling me that if i set a waypoint, i can select that destination in a taxi?

this game is disappointing... it is just like the other GTA's, I'm impressed at all =(

get Roman to like you above 70% and you can call him to send a car to your location. Same as the Taxi but it's free.

I do it often, and the driver gets really annoyed and talks shit. Do they refuse to send a car at some point?

I need to find Badman for his second mission, I have no idea where he's hanging out...

romans taxi driver is hilarious! love that guy, he totally HATES taking you anywhere and slags you off the whole way or talks about all the chicks he's banging.

I wonder if you can pop him through the windshield when he comes to pick you up...pretty sure you can't jack it, so maybe it's an "indestructible" vehicle. Will have to pepper his face with buckshot and throw a molotov at the car tonite...

ok so i dont think you guys are jerks anymore because i have found out how to go online with my ps3

i just have to disable all security from my router (that WEP shit) ... wich sucks because then i cant connect to the internet anymore with my computer (cant even get into my router settings wich i need to get back online)

after some hassle i've been able to enable my security and internet connection again ... but now i cant play ps3 multiplayer

this sucks if anyone knows how i can disable my security without losing my pc's internet connection, im all ears

oh yeah, and my online-id is: kzenz

why do you lose your internet connection when you disable wep? that doesnt make sense, you should get MORE UNBRIDLED INTERNET when you take off those steel panties

maybe its doing some wierd shit where it notices anything can get through and decides it would be better for all concerned if there was no internet allowed through to the pc.
