The Troll Hunter

trolls are awesome. i love how they managed to make the trolls look exactly as they do in all those stories and paintings etc i remember from my childhood.

7/10

Winter's Bone - Pointless and dull/10.

(The main actress had a fat face , i could not concentrate on the story because i was wondering how many pizzas she ate to get such a fat face)

I HOPE THIS MATCH NEVER ENDS - 245017.jpg

tried watching the king's speech, it got a big "whatever" from me...turned it off after a few minutes. Seemed horrid, maybe it got better.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

- lost cloud

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

-organized confused project

I Come with the Rain - 7.5/10: a huge departure from the older Tran's films. i can see how it got mixed reviews, but he was clearly trying to make a different kind of movie. two things are clear (for me, at least) - the photography, editing and everything visual is just fantastic. beautiful, even genious. the dialogue is pretty clumsy though. the overdubbing is bad too. it feels like the movie lost a lot in the process of translation. as for the story - it's okay, didn't leave a big impact on me but i was still able to enjoy the movie from start to finish. a contemporary noir, not exactly my favorite genre. the acting is mostly "sufficient", standout for me was Byung-hun Lee but i wasn't offended by Hartnett's performance either.

i'm glad Tran is over this now, can't wait for Norwegian Wood!!!

Defendor - 2/10 very dull

Punisher Warzone - 7.5/10 gets a little tounge n cheek towards the end but as soon as you get over the fact Ray Stevenson looks like Falco it's a decent enough action romp.

The Troll Hunter - 9/10 really enjoyed this, its what Blair Witch should have been and then some. good call data ;-)

Looking forward to watching The Troll Hunter, that Blair Witch comment tickled my fancy.

The Woman In Black - sober English horror from the late 80s, 5/10 for some nice moody locations and the face of the lady.

Chasing Amy - haven't seen this since the late 90s, I remembered is as dragging on a bit with overly long scenes of people overacting their emotions. This still remains true.

However the comedy in it is still great, the black gay bloke putting on a hard black pantheresque front to sell pro-black comics. Nice to see the Bluntman & Chronic history cropping up again in Jay & Silent Bob Strike back. And always good to see Jay & Silent Bob doing their routine 7/10

Electric Dragon 80000v - 4/10. Had some good moments and the soundtrack was pretty good, but overall I thought the story was underdeveloped.

Faster - 9/10 best dwayne johnson film ever.

To be fair that ain't saying a lot. You really think it was a good film? I'm almost curious.

Yeah got me, yeah I'm curious. 9/10 in a shitty funny B movie kinda way? Orly a good movie? I'm gonna look into this either way I suppose.

the kids are alright alright/10

better than i expected. it jumps into their lives and then jumps out again. i liked the idea of the lesbian parents with one kid each and then the dad is the link. juliane moore wasn't very good in this, and she looked like kristen stewart got older.

doesn't have a chance of winning best picture.

best actress didnt really convince me either although she was hella dyked out

mulholland drive 10/10

finally made my wife sit through my favorite movie. was worried she would pick it apart and ruin it for me but she didn't.

one thing i did notice was how straight forward it was this time. i've sat through that film with a note book before and finished scratching my head. most likely i read some theories few years ago and they were still in my head.

did some reading afterwards about how lynch put it together from the tv pilot and what he filmed additionally. tarnishes the film a little but not enough to lose any stars
