Ofelas/Pathfinder - Great film. Not too clear on how accurate the depiction of early Sami culture was, but it felt very authentic. It was quite short, only about 80 minutes. Maybe a little too short, pacing was kind of quick. Otherwise, great.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

Nosferatu (1922) - Saw this in a theater with a live soundtrack. Basically it was a guy with a synth and a guy doing all of the percussion/sound effects. Amazing experience. 9/10

A fantastic film man, one that I'll always watch again.

Yeah, I've always loved it but having a live soundtrack just gave it another dimension. Next level breakfast maneuver.

stranger than fiction is good

One of my favorite films.

I'll defend Ferrell. He's great in Anchorman, Old School, Zoolander, Stranger Than Fiction, Elf, Eastbound & Down, and has some hilarious bits in Talladega Nights.

I get the impression he takes every screenplay that falls on his lap, though, so his ratio of good films to bad films is unfortunate.

I just got back from seeing Source Code.

Everyone that's saying it should have ended 10 minutes earlier is right. It could have been so much better. :(

There's this exact moment where you know it would have had the perfect ending....then it goes on another 10 minutes and ruins it.

sounds like how i felt about the movie Contact.

i consider Contact a great film merely for the fact that there are so few other great science fiction movies out there.

it's a very, very rare example of smart, interesting writing and ideas in a movie about aliens.

that said i don't remember the ending

Guest Benedict Cumberbatch

buried 7.5/10

i really enjoyed it. similar but better than 127 hours. they could have cut the finger cuttign scene. that made it too similar. my main problem was the english guy, he was so bad.

also lol at people sayign he should just stand up and break through the box and 3ft of sand.

also lol at the mythbusters lame attempt at disproving the myth that you can escape

Buried sounded interesting until i heard it was about terrorists in Iraq. I would be more intrigued by a movie by a guy who just wakes up buried under ground and he doesn't know how he got there

Toy story 3 - 9/10, i have to say this movie really got me. extremely beautiful looking as well

i know the plot doesnt revolve around it but it very much erases any previous interest i had in it. It makes it seem like a very trite too afraid to be different movie that had to rely on a ripped from the headlines basis of a contractor who got kidnapped in iraq

the movie you describe sounds more like torture-porn-lite

Purple Rain - 8/10

It's cheesy, the plot makes very little sense (I'm going to move to Minnesota to make it big! Morris Day is better than Prince! Despite having the money for 30 purple waistcoats, Prince still lives with his abusive parents!)

Still is awesome.

Paranormal Activity 2: utter shit. Was pretty good at building suspense, then ended abruptly with no real climax. 4/10

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

6.5/10

if only it wasn't so rushed half of the time. It's like a silly dream you have after watching the first one. Henry Kane is creepy and H.R. Gigers vomit creature is disturbing. I also liked how they run around the house and all the lights flicker and the bulbs explode or something, it was really well done and reminded me of a personal experience. But I'd probably only give it a 4/10, it just doesn't work as a movie, it totally lacks dramaturgy.

I'm assuming you've seen the first one? I've only seen #1 and I quite like it, although I was initially disappointed cause it didn't scare me (except that really loud bump that leaves the chandelier shaking, that was probably the most well done sound effect I ever heard). But after re-watching it, I noticed how it has some really cool ideas and a generally realistic atmosphere. The problem is, I never get scared when watching those 1st person camera films cause they always make me feel really nostalgic and cosy as they remind me of my own old films.

Anyway, I've heard from a friend that it totally sucked ass and that I shouldn't even watch it for lols or out of curiosity as it wouldn't be worth the time spent on it. But, she's only seen the German version of it which I imagine has a very low quality dub considering the low budget background of the film. Not to mention that a dub of any film like that is doomed by default.

I kinda want to see it. Is it really THAT bad, compared to the first one?
