10/10. Watched this again, and it really is one of my favourite films. It's an Australian comedy film that's just ridiculously nice and heart-warming from start to end. Relentlessly funny. Recommended.

yeah it's just the general vibe of the movie that really makes me love it. :emotawesomepm9:

Green Zone - 6/10 didn't move me either way kinda slow in parts.

Transformers dark side of the moon - 5/10 I dislike transformers i have de decided, a mish-mash of metal rolling around on screen is not for me, and this one just kinda ended when they hit the 2.5 hour mark "Yeah we reached the time limit destroy the pillar end the film"

just watched this, it was neither terrible nor brilliant, just "meh", another movie with promise that failed to leave any mark what so ever. whatever / 10

'Code Unkown'

hanekes best

a great film - masterpiece

one of the best of the past 20

a romantic film

his most human, most people wouldn't equate Haneke with gentleness

the last 20 minutes are hilarious and life affirming. it's just that simple drum and the nihilism/existentialism

I'm ignorant in many ways but I can tell this is a philosophical film through

that's it for tonight

A*/10 maybe asylum is even better as its earlier still..anyone seen? and what happened to jessica stevenson, she wrote spaced then disappeared except for a bit part in shaunofthedead...?

i've seen her as bit parts in things... but yeah, i don't know. i kind of have a weird little crush on her in that show for some reason

Asylum is here, courtesy of that guy who made it or whatever so it's allowed: http://www.normanlovett.co.uk/video.htm

LOL, I love how this movie was made in 1997 but looks like it was filmed in the 70s. Good vibes and some laughs but I was hoping for a rapid fire roflcopter barn burner classic comedy I had never heard of.

Well 'I reckon' this is a classic but just not as lawlolawl as I was hoping. Good movie though, thanks again for the tips Watmm.

hot fuzz 8/10

love the self referential parts and the self homages. the fence jumping etc. and spotting actors from other pegg/wright/frost things such as marsha as the landlady. no daisy in hot fuzz though :(

looking forward to their next film together

The Usual Suspects - Don't really understand how this movie scores so highly on IMDb, it's like a poor man's Heat with the most insulting twist I've ever seen. Watching it felt like seeing a direct to TV type movie.

Leon - Still incredible, aged beautifully, watched the extended cut, can't really tell what was added, looks the same to what I remember seeing.

For a Few Dollars More - Watched the BluRay edition, amazing detail! What a joy to watch this movie is, to me it's the better "Dollar" movie.

Haha yes indeed it is. It looks like Asylum was never released, I only found that link through wikipedia when looking up Asylum because I'd forgotten about it until you mentioned it, I've never managed to find it until now, just about to have a watch.

i know when i first watched Usual Suspects the twist really got me....then again I was 16.

my guess is it was just really well written.

The Baldwin and Kevin Pollak always piss me off though.

The Usual Suspects is great fun but I suppose it seemed more amazing when I was 16 too. I don't know why you would compare it to Heat?

julian barrett would have been terrible as brian in spaced. mark heap brought so much to it

I watched the first Asylum last night. Not great but some good moments. I was thinking that Julian Barrett seemed like a prototype Brian.

yeah on the spaced dvd extras they mention that julian was meant to play brian but something changed and mark heap got it. i like julian barret but his artist was annoying, heap brought the darkness

William S. Burroughs - A Man Within 8/10

Doesn't offer much more than you already knew, but still a nice nostalgic1.5hour trip back to all the delightfully wistful Beats.

foods in the tone of 'go to the fuckin store'

patayda chips

apple cracker thangies

carrots in brown paper bag

Hanna 7.5/10 - interesting, well acted and watchable but the mix of hard violence and tender moments didn't quite work for me like they do in Lyon for example. The soundtrack was terrible then I found out it was done by the Chemical Bro's which explained everything.

Dr Terrors House of Horror 9/10 - definitive Hammer Horror for me, it has everything and the best cast ever.

Black Dynamite 10/10 - ok I'm upping my previous score to a full 10 as I've seen this four times now and it just gets better

It was probably the funniest thing I saw in 2010 (or whatever year it came out). Will have to watch again. Also optimistic about the animated series.
