into the abyss - not bad, but felt more like a tv doc. just really safe and sad. which is weird if the tales of this movie being hard on herzog are true. i guess it must had been the topic itself. still better than the one about caves. what was that all about.

Watched 'Tucker and Dale vs. Evil' on blu-ray last night. This film makes me double over in laughter. Love it! You might have to be a southerner in the US to fully enjoy it. The gore in it is so extreme as well. So beware.

Really? It's on Netflix so I might consider it... The cover makes it look like Larry the Cable Guy with a Chainsaw which makes me bleed out my anus.

yeah that film is great, well worth a rental. the skinny girl from 30rock is in it

that was about some of the oldest art ever seen. in 3D. have you no soul?

I haven't seen into the abyss yet hopefully soon although everyone seems to be down on it now its on dvd whereas when it was in the cinema all i heard was positive

bottle rocket - not quite as witty nor absurd as it tries to be, but a pretty good movie none the less. luke wilson's chin is way too distracting to make him a lead actor, though.

The Devil Inside 5/10 - exoticism get the handheld shakeycam treatment which although works in the scary parts with all the Chris Cunningham cliches (the Rubber Johnny rip off at the beginning is very obvious) leaves the rest of the film left with mediocre acting and a film that could ave been better overall. The sound design worked on a cinema sound system but the big screen made my mum feel sick with motion sickness. The shouldn't let films like this be show at theaters just like the Blair Witch (Troll Hunter was ace tho)

The Collector 6/10 - starts off ok with a nod to 80's horror situation flicks but just evolves into the same tried old slasher movie,

The Yes Men save the World 8/10 - best documentary I've seen in a while which they want you to torrent and pass on as the feds have taken their DVD off the shelf! Michael Moore can go suck Dubya's cock, these guys have balls to take on sick capitalism.

speaking of Herzog, I just watched

The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser

9/10. great film. the actor playing kaspar was brilliant, and some of the dialogue was really profound. i loved his story about the desert caravan. gonna check out aguirre soon, still got a lot of catching up to do on his filmography.

beyond the black rainbow

amazing visuals / soundtrack, not so much substance. i probably would've enjoyed it more if i hadn't known about it beforehand, guess my expectations were just way too high. by no means a bad film, i just hoped for more.

6.5/10

into the abyss - 8/10 - good documentary . herzog sometimes seems a bit condescending to the yokels + it looks like it was made for tv. but was a pretty good film anyways

paradise lost 3 purgatory 3/10 - weakest of the series even tho 2 was also pretty bad basically just a full on propoganda piece like the 2nd one except this time it seems like the film makers actually stitched up the right guy. . the 1st one is still good tho + the john mark byers guy is still entertainingly batshit insane when he is in it

casino - 6/10 - pretty standard gangster mafia stuff bit too much of a cliche by this point . maybe was better when it first came out

Now watch Stroszek, better film imo, same lead actor Bruno S.

he's not really an actor, he's just mentally ill. but yes, herzog/bruno movies are great.

Lord of the Flies (original). Good film, the black and white works superbly but I felt the film didn't flow, and the editing was all mish-mashed, which effects what could of been a classic. I read about the hotch-potching of making it and I'd agree with that.

7.5/10 could of been a 9/10

stand by me - pretty fucking legit. especially for a s king movie. pretty banal too, but i guess all coming-of-age films are.

Used to love this film, probably still do.

Immortals - 3/10 Some pretty shots here and there, but a terrible mess of a film.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

great lead acting, loved it, reminded me of tom hardy on bronson...

i think they should have discharged all the comedy they created with the mechanics, imo, it was uncalled for and made the movie lighter...
