I've been sketching out a labyrinth in a single player world that I can later build on the fresh multiplayer map. Redstone makes me want to just TNT the whole thing and send notch the bill.

i'm still pissed you guys want to restart the server. It's taken away all my motivation to build on our current server. Why not just keep using our current one, and just build a nether portal to some new unexplored region?

Also, there will always be updates. I'm not a fan of scripts but it would be cool if we could somehow block players from exploring too far. Then each time an update comes out, open a concentric ring of "game space" for people to explore, so that the game map would end up like rings on a tree, each for a different update...

I like your second idea, Lumpy. But we need a new server. Plus I'm butthurt over my destroyed property.

PLUS, Lapis Lazuli and whatever would be available near the original spawn point.

PLUS, we could start all over like a family. I missed out on the starting of Coolville.

there are a whole bunch of reasons to start over:

majority of people will be inspired by the fresh landscape again

more players

not having to travel stupid far to see the updated parts - everything will be from the spawn

yeah, there's just too much cool new stuff, basically.

wish we could just portal to our old map from the new one.

well, bukkit allows that, but installing it would be a lot of hassle for kokoon

Yeh, not worth all the effort. Anyway we can always get someone to build a complete replica of our old map on the new one, maybe you could do it kaini?

Also I got whitelisted for the WATMM server and all way back when, but I never bothered to figure out the IP or play on it, so I should probably do that when the update rolls around. Sounds like fun to play on a server with so many people. I'm only used to me and my bff playing together.

Just do it, data. By the time you've figured it all out, got comfortable and perfected your Starfleet uniform skin the 1.8 update will be here and you can join us on multiplayer.

Nice, I like the way that pack looks. Might have to play with it once the update hits.
