i think he said that 1.8 will be released "sometime" in september and that there is a lot more work to be done. there will be a partial update after the 1.8 version before the full game is released. NPCs, whales, etc. aren't implemented yet but the villages, islands, mountains, rivers, etc. look really cool

Oh jeez I'm so incredibly excited for this. I've really wanted some excuses to explore the ocean more.

is it confirmed that npcs are going to have a purpose more than just walkin around and being stupid?? i hope they have quests or shops like black smiths and stuff ppl who can sell u things and maybe special items you can only get from towns

I think the food bar is cool, the game definitely needs to be harder (no food, you slowly die). I can spend ages down a mine collecting fuckloads of ore and now i can't do that without having a lunchbox, i like it.

Also a full food bar means you slowly heal so thats cool too.

jeb has confirmed there will be blacksmiths who use lava and often set their villages on fire.

My issue isn't the food bar. I like that. But experience bar? What is that?

nether definitley needs more. Also it's ugly as hell, (pun intended) and why the fuck are there mushrooms there?

yeh I'm not sure. You supposedly level up skills. I'm not too keen on that either.

Isn't that what makes finding diamond great, the ability to do shit more effectively.On Level 100 wood cutting skill you'd just need a stone axe.

depends. stuff like higher max health or being able to mine faster wouldn't be too bad.
