flying would be too game changing. it'd make creating bigger things much easier but if everybody was flying all around the place it'd make builds much less impressive.

plus it'd totally kill the traveling aspect of the game.

Idk about flying, but I don't want there to ever be a magical element in minecraft (spells, scrolls, and the like). Redstone is already magical enough.

I think flying would suck, but a parachute-like item would be cool. Or a glider. Or a cannon. We could make spider web nets and have cannon-man shows. We could make cannonballs out of iron and shit. Yea.

not true because if people are playing legit it would take a certain amount of time to be able to even get the ABILITY to do the flying power, and once you sacrificed the things you needed for it youd have to acquire them again. like it would be the kind of thing you would be super stoked for when you go into ruins cuz you are anticipating finding a big chest at the end with sacrificial totems for flying or what ever other kind of magic they have . it wouldnt be like EVERYONE FLYING ALL THE TIME , itd be like flying is something u gain from a good adventure in a ruin when you kill the boss.

i don't think flying is a great idea. i do, however, think constructing gliders or parachutes would be awesome.

Flying is a terrible idea. Unless it's exclusively limited to creative mode. If you want flying use a mod on your server.

i think flying is nice if its in the context i said. you guys are being closed minded and judging me because i say words like 'friggin' ... just because im polite and dont swear doesnt mean im a badguy, in fact ur a badguy for condoning that kind of behavior

i dont see any good reason that flying shouldnt be in the game. of course it would be super lame if people could do it all the time, but if its something to work towards like going on quests to gain the ability for a limited amount of time itd be cool.

also my idea about the sacrifices and sorcery stuff isnt just for flying, there could be lots of other buffs it could give you

like u can use one altar where u make it all of mossy cobblestone and glow stone and then in the middle you put lava and then u throw some offerings in and if u throw the correct offerings it will make a BOOSH wave of magic that makes anyone around the altar be able to fly for like 1 hour of real game time or something. idk i think that would be neat but thats just me what do i know .

would anyone be interested in joing a creative server? my best friend started a server and hardly myself or an of my other friends go on it because we are pretty burned out on minecraft, just let me know, so i can opp one of you dudes, then you can opp everyone else that comes about from watmm.

it's a peacefull server, and it is running on a bukkit plugins. i would like to see what you guys come up with.
