1.8 is out! unfortunately the servers are down, so no chance of getting it until they're back up...

my server is updated i got in for a second but now its not letting me. is minecraft.net down or something

yup the server is updated properly i was in for a mintue and it started generating stuff but then i left and came back in with a different version of texture pack and it wont let me log in

i got d/ced from a server for no reason after about 10 minutes play, maybe there are some faults with SMP atm?

its saying took too long to log in. the server is running fine i know it is , what the heck notch. get it together

those ravines seem too common, created a new map and quickly found 2 crossing each other. also endermen right away. all the special stuff sould be rarer.

ok well i've been playing non-stop for about 4 hours. i am completely happy with the updated version. best things i like so far: lighting, terrain, endermen, running, food bar and the chest animations.

i still cannot connect, login failed it says

EDIT: ah, i just needed the new launcher

my server is up, its something to do with minecraft.net that people cant join. it keeps saying 'took too long to log in'

its already updated and restarted new world and everything, i was able to get in for like 5 mins and then i rejoined with fixes to the texture pack and now its doing this.

so idfk

i'll backup the old server and start a new 1.8 world.
