Minecraft

crashed again :(

i know, like 2 seconds after i logged in for the 1st time ever :(

Man, this sucks. I have all day to play. It's too cold to go outside.

so did everybody have the pre1.8 on their computer and then just log into minecraft like normal and it updated to the actual 1.8??

I'm still getting a "login failed" remark. the username and password is still auto-inputted from before so that shouldnt be the issue.

bubba said something about a similar problem... how'd he update his launcher?

download the exe/zip again. i had trouble getting in this morning - re dl it and launch it and you should be fine.

altho not right now because the site is actually down.

please come back minecraft... i... i need you...

kokoon, your server has crashed by the looks of things.

I had the pre installed, logged in then updated with no problem. Has anyone with a mac been able to log on and update?

i can get on the site again now but not on the server. maybe it is a server problem?

ok. ive officially made a fool of myself in front of T-bone like 5 times in as many days.

got the game working. just waiting for the server to kick back in!!

BTW

the seed that I posted on the last page is pretty fucking stellar. maybe if a few of you gave it a shot in CREATIVE mode so you can fly around and check it out we can make sure we're on a sweet map. if we end up on a boring flat map I'd rather just stick with lump.

I'm not sure what to think of our seed. I dislike how decentralized everything is, but that's probably the urban planner in me. I got super into Minecraft after the Coolville Downtown Revitalization Project on the old server. It looked so impressive with so much development in such a small space.

Maybe I'll warm up to it. But right now I feel disconnected from everyone and am not sure where to build.

Shouldn't be a problem for you though, Franklin. You always built as far away as possible anyway, so you could just find an island and claim it for yourself.

Edit: Have any of you tried playing with the Field of View settings all of the way up? It's nauseating. I'm going to try it with 3D glasses later.

I like to build close to others too, creates a community feel, that's why I set out for a larger island with build room. As long as their are others who like to build closely then I think it's fine. I wasn't sure about the seed when I first stepped on but I love it now.

I love it too. I think we could build cities and towns in thunder and assrape islands. They are very close to each other, I have even started making a bridge between them.

i like the server too its GREAT keep it kokoon : )

I like that there's some distance between settlements. It'll make visiting a bit of an adventure, also there'll be plenty of space to set up farms.

ya and i like pretending to be a pirate its really fun and u could never do that with minecraft before.

I envision a nice portal room in the nether that can take us to eachothers islands. We should definately build on eachothers islands. maybe even build towns on them.

having island names like assrape and thunder make me glad i'm not there
