i've sailed for fucking ages in all directions, land masses are few and far between...

could make for an interesting seed for the server...

SO MUCH SAND. That desert is huge. Also found 5 surface lava pools and a village. The neariest mountain biome I could find was pretty small though. Maybe I just took the wrong direction....

This one kinda looks epic. Especially those mountains from 1.30.

mannnn, take out the minus, then go into the ravine by the spawn. in the ravine is passage underground indicated by a waterfall.... id check it. unexposed diamond right off the bat. That's the seed you posted, minus the minus.

My world an island with a tree ...and water. Lots of it.

you're doing it wrong. you should spawn on a tiny island with nothing but water for fucking miles.

I don't mind the seed too much as long as it isn't a tiny island with no land near it.

That seed vid a few posts up is amazing.

Ahh, yeah I see it now. Maybe it was different because at first I created it on creative mode. Would be really interesting to see how different it would look after few moths.

I want the original spawn to be out of water, on a good sized chunk of land. The rest of the map can be whatever, but I want a fairly average spawn.

just think about a spawn like that after development though... a pier, a chest full of boats, and a post with directions on all four sides... it would really encourage us to spread out.

hah was doh a response to what i said before i edited my post, you can move the spawn point tho, make the harbour whatever and move the spawn back

those are some pretty unflattering screen shots i guess i kinda wanted to see what the new 1.8 pre release looked like with them on a count of i made all the new textures for it and its probly one of the only ones available right now that is fully compatible with 1.8

has any1 here made anything in 1.8 pre release yet?

Really wish I could get on the server with you guys, but every time I tried in the past, I had terrible lag. Like, over 1 minute or something. Gah! Would really love to get some giant underground/underwater lair action happening - I'm a subtractive builder, rather than an additive one.

fake edit: It'd be nice if sunlight shining through water made a coloured light effect, I made a small glass underwater area a few months ago which would have looked really nice bathed in a shade of blue.

So when do we get to set Coolville 1 on fire?

my suggestion for 1.8 would be mine. if you dont spawn at the moutains take a look from higher up. this area is close to gargamel.
