Minecraft

Perhaps Adam wouldn't agree, but if the world is somehow fucked and would require a lot of work to get it going again, I wouldn't mind starting a new map, if that counts for anything. I like having the islands, but I haven't seen a lot of variety in biomes - just long grass and pine forest, no rivers no wolves, not much desert.

tried it under windows on a different laptop, same lag, same low fps. maybe it's the cable, but then why would other people be getting the same issues around the same time and why would my lag cause others to lag? the server/users should be independent of my performance, no?

also, i know Lumpenprol has been getting crazy low fps + lag but it has never affected anyone else on the server, so this is a different issue altogether. i've put a good 20hrs on the server up until this afternoon.

i saw it last night lets hug eachother at how great it was

was logged on, and all was fine, then went to the nether and it disconnects me. getting an "end of stream" error everytime.

Maybe. Me and lumpenprol both died outside Murve's. I got half way across the sea from Adam's island (spawned at spacewrekker's, nether bit of the trip was fine) when lag kicked in and crashed my client. I log back in and I'm on the roof of AcrossCanyon's building?!? Managed to get to Murve's roof just fine, then it went wild again. I've been stuck there since.

nope, again if it was the XP orbs, everyone would have the same problem. until they're picked up they don't 'belong' to anyone.

ah sorry, I said spacewrekker when I meant you. Yeah I actually think this is at the root of our problem.

This. Our seed sucks, I've generated better worlds in single player.

Yeah im not digging the current map much either. I know I'm not in it a lot but if the map had more... well variety that'd be nice :)

yeah I don't like the new map much, but seeing as I could use a reason to wean myself off of minecraft, I don't really care. Shittier level + crappier, buggier Mojang updates = more chance of kicking the habit

I like whatever Notch did to biomes. There's these interesting mountain biomes now. And forests seem to span for-ev-er.

I've seen a lot better after generating and flying around a few worlds, but don't get me wrong, I can live with with the map. On the other hand, I've been on there as much as anyone else and it's only 2-3 days work, not months.

new map, which is mostly islands. which seems to be map marmite, but i love it. it reminds me of zelda:wind waker. same server address, and you should be whitelisted.
