This. I don't think interest in this map will last. I'd log on to CV1 just to take a couple of laps around the city when I was bored.

 

Like I've said before I feel really disconnected from everyone else. I realize that we can just use portals to get from place to place, but that IS different. Kind of like CV1 and CV2, I could go to either in an instant, but it still seemed disconnected.

I totally agree. I kind of like the whole explorative aspect of this map but it is just too fragmented. I tried to build some stuff and the make the spawn more welcoming, but it is all very confusing still. I don't even know if there is a "main" area and how to get anywhere. Except for the small island where mynameisgreg is on.

after I've built what I'm working on I'd be happy to contribute to finding/creating a "main hub", if that pleases everybody. if you want a main hub get on and find one, start one, invite people to join. people will. then you should have no gripes with the new map.

Dudes. Settle a city and have it a server requirement for every player to contribute some kind of sweet building or structure in it. If/when I get time to play I'll just build shit in it instead of some secluded count dracula castle off the beaten path.

There's enough land behind Kaini.

That's cool. Handy for making sure everything around a mob grinder is lit up.

Also could Green be Player Spawn locations? Both Previous and current?

oh ok green are actual light sources. zoom in all the way and you can see individual torches

edit: i can also see the very middle of the floors of my house aren't well-lit enough. handy!

Hm, after looking at the map, I realize there is a good chunk of land. That desert area is pretty massive, anyone for putting a city in the desert?

The lower left desert, although the other desert on that island (opposite side) would be a nice median between the two current settlements, and therefore, probably a better place.

I'm for the upper desert now then. I'm going to build a Bakery there. Or some sort of food distributor, I'm thinking Bread, Watermelon, and Cake (If you want to donate Eggs).

i just built a sky bridge from one island to the desert of another.

okay its settled - exp orbs are a MENACE. every so often throw yourself in lava to destroy any orbs youve got so you never accidentally die and everything crashes. ugh.

Someone post when we can log in again.

this is all ive been able to see for the past 10 minutes. cant move or do much of anything. i think i just have to wait until ALL the orbs are absorbed. and thatll take a very long time in this lag.

i wonder if there's a server mod that disables xp. that would be the answer to all our problems.

yea I went through that last night its uh, intense on your eyes to say the least.
