I just had an idea. Since gravel is useless, why doesn't notch just switch the name to "Limestone Gravel" (or he can leave it as gravel for flint purposes). 4 gravels could make a limestone brick (although we seem to have large bricks now).

But, if you were to fire the bricks in a furnace, it could make marble. Which would be awesome. It'd open the door to several more potential crafting recipes.

any pro tips on building fast? It takes me ages to create something not half as beautiful and big as some of you do on the server. I take forever to collect all the better looking materials until I can start building finally. So whats the trick on speedbuilding stuff?

Plan what you are going to build ahead of time? I'm doing that for my build project on this new seed.

npcs look ridiculous but I really like them at the same time. mushroom biomes are fucking horrible. the nether additions are great. interested in the new range weapon. anyone know anything about it?

How do I run the mc1.9 jar? I'm on a mac—checking out the package contents for MC, I found MinecraftLauncher.jar, but replacing that with the 1.9 jar borked it -_-

no, not if you want to play SMP.

KY - you need to replace minecraft.jar in the minecraft/bin directory. again, you won't be able to play on kokoon's server if you update

Jeez, that mushroom biome idea is goofy. Why not focus on planting cocoa beans/apple seeds? Or every other problem?

i generally hate them too. i'm quite fond of the mushroom forest on our server tho.
