I built the rail (the part over water ain't done) but the bridge was a collaborative effort. We also filled in that area with sand and made it somewhat safe to traverse because it was spawning lots of mobs and people were dying trying to walk through there because of all the pitfalls.

no worries, I already don't care anymore, because the rail is a lot better. I just was shocked at first because i didn't expect it but this is better now. I have decided to just freeform improvised sculptures out there now.

Imagine a morphing mob. It hides by morphing into a friendly creature (wolves!) like the thing from er...the thing. Then when you go to attack it, it turns into some pixelated atrocity and eats you alive. :D

Remember that page of new mob characters someone drew up way back? (not someone here, it was taken from some other forum). I still think most of the ideas on that page were better than the ones Notch seems to be coming up with

well when it comes to new mobs it is as much to do with implementation as it is to do with idea.

steve can pick up blocks and skellies die in light so endermen weren't so much of a stretch cos they implement bits of existing codebase.

but as i said earlier on the server, creepers are the only original mob, everything else is inherited from other shit.

any time some one comes up with stuff like thatnotch checks it off his list. hes against using other ppls ideas for the most part unless he has some kind of personal connection to it
