Just letting everyone know that the server will be reset in a day or two. If anyone wants a copy of the current map I've uploaded the backup, you can download it here.

Also a quick question, if I update the server to the pre-release will it require me to update it again when it becomes officially released? If I don't it might be worth resetting and updating the server early.

You mean would the map have to be restarted again? I don't think you would have to.

I've been playing minez recently. Minecraft version of Dayz

pretty cool.

Basically you walk around looking for supplies, teaming up or going it alone to survive.

It's a lot less hassle than the Hardcore servers, no one is over powered. If you do have good weapons etc. then you probably deserved it

They even did that thing from Dayz where others can heal you in ways that you cant alone. It's clever

Yeah I didn't really think that question through, kinda obvious the new map would be compatible with both the pre-release and post-release.

In that case then I'll update and reset for new map at around 9pm GMT tomorrow so people have a bit of time to do whatever they want with the current server. If anyone wants to play make sure you download the pre-release.

Also that MineZ mod looks awesome, might have to check that out.

Is the server gonna be reset for 9pm still?

I'm currently in the process of restarting the server now. Unfortunately the server host is extremely temperamental atm and it's near impossible to get into the settings required to restart it, so I think it's gonna be down for a while. Trying my best though to get it up and running asap, I'll let everyone know though when it's finally available.

So after 3 hours of having to do constant re-installs and messing about with the client files (all because Beastnode finally decided I wasn't allowed to edit server.properties anymore), the WATMM Minecraft server is finally running! Large biomes have been added and the difficulty should be normal. Unfortunately the whitelist was wiped in the update process but I've managed to save everyone's names who requested it, so if I left you out by accident and you can't connect let me know.

EDIT: Due to server stability problems, I had to turn off large biomes. It was probably for the best though, the whole map was pretty much nothing but snow.

Large biomes was total shit. New spawn is awesome. Village and ravines etc.
