click multiplayer, click add, type in the server address. you'll need to get whitelisted first though.

god fucking damn i'm trying to upload a picture and it says it's too big.

anyway, dan I think we both accomplished a fucking lot in a single day.

Hey you guys, could I get one of you to upload all the necessary 1.3 files to some filesharing program? I'm stuck, I keep getting a "failed to launch" error. I also get a "failed to update news" on the first page...so weird, have tried 300 different fixes and none work yet...

edit: just to be clear, I don't need any account info (of course), just the necessary jars and bins and whatnot that live in the .minecraft folder...I (stupidly) deleted mine thinking it might help the problem...

thanks very much! unfortunately, does not solve my problem. It still says it needs to update. Your upload DOES help me play singleplayer, but if I try to logon to the server it rejects me. Are you sure you uploaded the most recent update version?

maybe you need soundfiles as well?

dunno. I feel like the kid outside the candy store with his face pressed against the window...can you try uploading any more relevant files from your .minecraft folder? It was just the .bin...

It's saying I can't reach the server.

Hmmm, the server is up and running and the port number in that post is correct, must be something to do on your end. All I know is that I get the same error whenever I try to log in through OpenVPN and I'd imagine it's a similar thing that causes this problem. Other than that I don't know where to really start.

Also I've been trying to look into resetting the neutrality of zombie pigmen after they got attacked, is it only ones that were around when they started getting attacked that are hostile or any of them regardless of where you are in the nether?

i think they calm down eventually

Did you whitelist "oohdoiloveyou" or my watmm screen name?

I whitelisted oohdoiloveyou, but that wouldn't affect connecting to the server as you would get a message saying you're not whitelisted when you try to connect. Are you able to connect to any other servers at all (if you want another address to test try hardcore.hcsmp.com:25570)? If you can't connect to any server then I'd look into your connection.

Also have you double checked the server address? When I first tested the server I couldn't connect either, it took me about an hour to realise I'd gotten two numbers mixed up when I typed it in.

BTW everyone else the server will be down for a bit to update and backup. I'll edit this post when it's up and running again.

No worries, it's up and running again. Spawn protection is now disabled as well!
