given the laws of pop culture, this album should be terrible. but it's fucking great. every track is amazing. the fact that he's simultaneously such a douche and continues to make such great albums is what makes him so interesting. and he is painfully honest, which is noteworthy if nothing else.

this is his best album yet.

Be smart, ignore the WATMM virgin nerds, and buy this record....or steal it, whatever. It's goddamn sublime.

Am I missing something, or is everyone just being sarcastic about it being good??

Total sarcasm. You should download the new, umm, Deerwagon...or Autechre...or Smallcocktronica Vol. 3,402,197...and ignore this thread entirely.

In my opinion the Album is ok, has some nice moments in the production department. But in the end his grand ambition has a huge narcissistic disorder written all over it, and i strongly dislike his rap skills. I dont mind if an pop artist is stuck in postpuberty. But he is certanly no Micheal Jackson. Did you guys saw his "MPC Solos" when he was performing Runaway.

In the realm of Lady Gaga and Bieber this might be the best release this year. But there is so much more out there. Hipster Pitchfork just rewarded the greatest Hipster in the world. Does make sense.

So, I was listening to Kanye West's newest album earlier this afternoon. I was quite impressed even though I never heard Kanye West's music before. But still, I couldn't understand why Pitchfork gave it a perfect score. As the album was about to finish, "Blame Game" came out of the blue and I noticed this familiar piano melody. I immediately recognized none other than Richard's composition "Avril 14th". I remembered he hadn't released new material for years, it made me tear as I experienced the most wonderful epiphany in my whole life, and I finally realized why Pitchfork rated the album 10/10. Thank you, Pitchfork. Thank you, Richard. You changed my life.
