I like to think that what we do, we do fucking well...

Since when was that ever true of anything involving Liam Gallagher?

Separator just snuck up on me and became one of my favorite Radiohead songs. A pretty lil' ditty.

every time that i hear 'give up the ghost', it just reinforces my belief that it's the most gorgeous, lushly arranged, just plain fucking amazing song i have heard in a long, long time.

this sounds like an airplane landing on a minefield

The album got better for me too... still nothing stellar, though. Give up the ghost is absolutely beautiful, and lotus flower is great... the rest is good. I'd say separater is the only one I don't care for much, especially is a closing track :/ Though I see most of you here seem to love it. Perhaps I will, in time.

Great/Doing what they do best Tier:

Little by Little, Codex, Give Up the Ghost, Separator

OK/Trying too hard to make the production interesting Tier:

Bloom, Morning Mr. Magpie, Lotus Flower

God awful/Embarassing attempt to appear hip and pay homage to Burial Tier:

Feral

I don't get the burial or James Blake comments at all. this album sounds as much like burial as kid a does autechre.

lol yea. everytime I hear people make these lazy comparisons I'm like blabla.gif

I'ts not comparisons, it's picking up influences. If many people independently come up with the same ones that should tell you something.

ZOMG! Lazerz pew pew pew!!!!11!!1!!!!1!oneone!shift+one!~!!!

Feral sounds like Burial because Thom Yorke is emulating one of Burial's pitched up/down r&b samples...

Radiohead has very clearly been listening to a ton of fly lo, burial, actress, etc.

Probably already has been posted in this thread but: FlyLo and Radiohead

influenced is one thing, sounding like it is another. i cant stand burial or james blake or any of that crap, yet i love feral. i listened to cosmogramma dozens and dozens of times, lotus flower does not sound like it at all. when kid a came out and thom name checked autechre everyone was saying how kid a sounded like autechre, and well, come on. it doesn't sound like ae at all. im getting the same vibe with this. sure 3 of the 8 tracks have an electronic tinge to them but this is now 11 years plus they have been playing with that style. people are making this out to be a dubstep electronic radiohead record and i find that to be ridiculous.

I wonder if Thom Yorke had to go through all that webcam palaver to get the Cosmogramma alt takes?

I think he got the idea for Lotus Flower clip when doing that

I find Radiohead to be utterly average, but I have to admit Lotus Flower is a great tune, ridiculous though the video is.
