stupid first world problems you're dealing with

Well the "mortar attack" description was purely metaphorical. But still, it wasn't a pretty sight.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

Found out today that my mom's house burned down. Apparently it was ignited by an electrical short-out in the garage. She and her husband made it out safely, but unfortunately they lost their pet cat. I came by the house this afternoon to see the damage for myself. It looked as though it got hit by a mortar attack.

That's awful, sorry to hear it. Same thing happened to two other families I know... well, I know one of them and went to school with the son of the other. That one occurred due do his little bro making napalm in the basement. The other was the result of the stove being left on.

Originally I came here to complain that my coffee is too smooth and delicious.

I made the mistake of buying fucking Colombian Peaberry coffee. Peaberries are these sad, shriveled, dried up excuses for coffee beans. Like dried up bunny poops only smaller. God, it blows.

The Christmas spirit is in the money you used to buy the expensive holiday coffee. Christmas spirits live on dollar bills, for your fyi.

GHOST: have you killed Claudius yet
HAMLET: no
GHOST: why
HAMLET: fuck you is why
im going to the cemetery to touch skulls

My dad is an alcoholic who hates his job and his life and resents all his obligations, but he doesn't externalize any of it, he just lets it grow inside so that he's riddled with dread and anxiety and now he's a xanax addict.

I'm in my home town visiting family and friends, and realised that most of my friends don't actually live here anymore. In addition to that, my parents currently have gastroenteritis (first my mum, now my dad) and I'm flying to Sydney on Wednesday. Fuck. Hope it doesn't hit me too hard.

Thanks man. I talked to my mom again tonight, and we arranged to have breakfast tomorrow morning at her hotel.

Speaking of coffee, mine just now got done warming up, even though I shouldn't be drinking any this late..

Jesus.

Okay, so, I wasn't gonna say this because it's so personal but my girlfriend got attacked about a week ago while taking a walk at night. She ended up in the hospital with a concussion, covered in blood. I've been through alot but it was by far the scariest night of my life.

(she's almost fully recovered now, btw)

But yeah, fucking crazy world. Hard to stay zen inside, ya know?

Jesus I'm sorry Limpy :( That's really horrible, I can't even imagine.

Yeah it was weird to find that their are would-be-rapists in my town.

But everything's pretty much back to 100%.

Yay to that!

the majority of my closest friends have been stalked or assaulted. it really is a fucked up world. it's hard to be positive.

men can be the most terrible to us but then the right men can also be a huge source of happiness. it might take a while for her to feel herself again but just be as supportive as you can. i'm sure you will though.

Yeah, I've tried to be as playful and light-hearted as possible to keep her in good spirits. She bounced back pretty quickly, though. She's a badass.
