thursday nov 24th is american thanksgiving. i just checked greyhound to get an idea of how long a bus would take... if you left wednesday at 6:00 AM you'd get into denver on thurs at 6:00 PM.

I was waiting to this thread to pop up again... my MIL brought over some dishes for Thanks giving and I noticed she took off the aluminum and folded them neatly and put them aside. later on in the night she asked us where were they and my wife said "I threw them away!" and the MIL was all like "I was saving those for later! I needed those!" in her winey spanish voice. my son Liam walked by covering his ears and my wife just gave her a roll of aluminum foil.

I once had a 'mother in law' that called my dad in tears after I had broken up with her daughter. Then for a couple of weeks she tried to call me to make me consider the decision of leaving her daughter.

That was quite annoying and didn't make me feel too good.

MIL was over today along with the SIL and her kids and we had pizza. They started talking about some zombie apocolypse and started talking in detail about what happened in Miami. I slammed down my pizza on the plate got up and went to my office and didn't come out until they left. Luckily for me, how I feel about her family doesn't affect the relationship between the wife and I... She can't stand my dad either.

It was 3 people talking about it. The mother in law, sister in law, and her 15 year old son. For some reason, they like to bring these types of things up at odd occasions like eating and birthday parties. In many ways, my mother in law along with sister in law are pretty dark people!

My in-laws are great. It's my stupid ass drunk dad who gets on everyone's nerves.

Them talking about the incident in gross detail added fuel really. It's hard for me to hide my disdain for certain people. Unfortunately, her family is one of those. Her brother and younger sister are cool though.
