Is too late for me to become the next Warp IDM superstar?

I guess if get thru then you ain't actually signed to Warp as it comes out on Bleep - right?

I just uploaded my two submissions. One's a personal favorite, the other I submitted because it's probably my most commercial track. The first upload got favorited right after I uploaded it, so I'm hoping that means they like it!

That are my tracks by the way.... don't think I'll win.... But I noticed nowadays its very hard to understand what Warp is looking for. Ten years ago it would be very much easier to find a Warp sound, but today thez are doing everything: Indie-Stuff, HipHop-Stuff, IDM-Stuff...

That first is real nice. Haven't had a chance to listen to other one yet fully yet but sounding good too.

I read somewhere that over 4000 tracks were submitted. Even if they have a couple dozen judges (which they may or may not) that's still a lot of techno music to sift through.

fuck warp and their short dealines if they are expecting something new made on a nano studio and a iphone. whoever buys the release is brainwashed just like the rest of the people who watch tv. boards of canada and hopefully aphex will be their onlly worth while buys anytime soon.

^I think a lot of people weren't trying to produce something new for this, they just went through their personal archives & said "yeah, that one sounds good".

Yeah pretty much. It's a shame I couldn't submit my cyberdemon dubstep track though. Or the super ridiculous 9-minute racing game prog dnb track I finished yesterday.

The got a fuck load of tracks even for the short deadline. Ive no idea what kind of genre theyre looking for but sure fuck it, if they made it longer and more publicised then theyed have a fuck load of tracks.

No one is ever going to be pleased but sure thats the fucking "biz". To be fair, none of us are going to "make it" because the nature of all of us is to compare to Aphex, Boc, Vibert or whatever is the feature artist. Were all stuck in our decade, which isnt this one, and we'll never make any money, and if we get big we'll just get by. I cent even remember what I was saying at the start cause im fucking drunk, but getting angry at this is like getting angry at a WWF match. We all knew who was gonna win.

Deadline wasn't that short in my opinion. Didn't know exactly when this opened, but this thread was already here 15 August. Basically a month to make a track, that's fair isn't it?

A month is plenty of time.

Did Dissolved submit a tune for this? I think he deserves to be on that compilation.
