I'm with braintree. I'm more pissed about the constant spam than the lack of response for the contest.

I don't imagine I'll make it anyway, my sound isn't "new" enough I'd imagine. I largely just did this for shits & giggles and the off chance that something may happen.

Okay, this has gotta be it.

(it's not it)

I think they be trolling now

The trick is to busy yourself with new music making work, so you don't have enough time to care how well the last music you made is received.

Haha, had the exact same thoughts when I read the subject of that e-mail

I'm not particularly concerned, but I did think the title was amusing in context

Just calm down... sooner or later you will now... if this would be about a new afx or clark I could understand :w00t:

Meh, maybe if I had listened to afx/clark combined more than 20 times in the past 6 months I MIGHT care about new stuff by them, but I don't. Much more interested in my friends and my own work.

BLEEP FILTERED COMPETITION UPDATE:

We pretty much chosen our final 50 track shortlist... We have contacted 3 people as we need them to activate the sharing / embed codes on their track before our announcement. We are hoping they reply soon or we will need to pick replacement tracks...

Once we have this sorted, we will reveal our shortlist to everyone else (including 47 out of the final 50). The announcement will come from our Bleep Newsletter mailing list.

Makes me wish I had disabled sharing/embed codes, so that I'd know early on.

okay i didn't thought of that when posting :wtf:

On the one hand this doesn't bother me because sifting through 4000+ electronic tracks & determining the top 50 sounds like a hella arduous ordeal & really the fact that they're doing something like this at all gives them a fair bit of leeway. But on the other hand I can see why some people may be getting impatient what with the "k guys it's coming right up....here it comes...right now-ext week some time".

i'm not pissed at the prolonged deadline, i'm pissed because of...

"The submission period is now closed, please sign up to our newsletter to stay up to date with the judging process and announcement of the Bleep: Filtered winners."

following them on facebook would have been enough, no? i don't need more spam...

Yeah, I just wonder how often they send out the newsletter in the first place. Have they been sending it out more often since the Filtered competition? Just the fact that I got like 3 advertisements in 5 days was annoying enough.

I get the bleep newsletter regulary and the normal newsletter comes every week or less. If there are special offers like the t-shirts or this tip-off special, it comes more often. So actually they are doing it like they have always done. That's at least my opinion. And honestly: is it so bad, to get a little spam and delete it? It's even not about penises or something but about your hobby so... :derp:
