Played and completed 'the talos principle', its good, it has a more explicit story than say, 'the witness', that motivated me to power through and get to the end (i got burned out on the witness at the very final final stretch). I'm tempted to do all the extra stuff, but probably won't.

Got about half way through Road To Geneva and got completely stuck getting the bonus stars on Act 2 and haven't touched it for about 2 years as I'm furious at myself for not getting it.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Im not ashamed to look up some solutions sometimes, some of the bonus stars in Talos are really cryptic or really easy to miss because it's dependant on you finding some hidden mcguffin in some corner of the map. In fact i said F it and looked up solutions to the larger tetris puzzles cus i just didnt find them fun.

Talos 2 is supposedly a lot better might check it out later

ZOMG! Lazerz pew pew pew!!!!11!!1!!!!1!oneone!shift+one!~!!!

Played and finished Deus Ex for the first time. Good game.

Fantastic game!

I have a few joints in rotation but nothing that really consumes my interest at the moment.

Stalker 2 needs way more polish to be worth the continued time investment, and seeing as the developers are hard at work doing just that it just makes more sense to wait.

Rebooted Starfield with a ludicrous amount of mods that really improved the experience, from better visuals, removing the ugly color grading and making nights pitch black, then adding blood & gore, a gazillion more crafting options, gear and clothing, intensified the combat and AI. My favorite one was the robot size randomizer that immediately resulted in a shootout with oompa-loompa sized killbots.

Indiana Jones is great looking and has a nice vibe but it's way too smart a game to relax with. I just stare blankly at maps and clues and feel stupid most of the time.

Playing this on Android, I'm into it! Super chill.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

I started playing Nine Sols a few months ago. Got busy and now I have no idea how to beat this boss.

It's going to take an act of soul crushing boredom to get back into it 😕

Just bought Hello Kitty Island Adventure on a completely random whim, because why tf not. Just released today. I bought it simply because I thought it would be hilarious to buy some overly cutesy shit that would be completely out-of-place in my Steam library. I guess it's supposed to be like Hello Kitty version of Animal Crossing? Idk.

I did snag Metro Exodus too though because it's on sale for super cheap and I haven't played it yet, even though I played Metro 2033 and the first half of Metro: Last Light. Kind of wonder how Exodus will compare to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

Yeah, I really enjoy the game so far! It's just very involving. Lots of things to remember and practice constantly.

Nah, I already beat Jiequan, which was no small feat. That fight took me like an hour :catsob:

I'm on the one that's in the dream realm or whatever. Lady Ethereal. There's just a lot of little movements to think about. I stopped playing and forgot everything.

Ah right... yeah thats another good one, especially in terms of presentation! Hang on, she basically shows everything she's got during phase one, from then on it's mostly pattern management between her illusions, don't get greedy. I think overall she wasn't quite as hard as Jie, at least considering the relative progress you've made up to that point. Also don't forget u can farm life upgrades through money and trading  poisonous stuffs u find along the way with that weird human dude.

I absolutely recommend pushing through, the end boss is stuff of legends! (tho even quite alot harder than anything else in the game... XP)

Started Pikmin 4. Super handholdy at the start, which is weird because like it's the fourth game. We know what we're doing at this point. Just let me play.

I just beat Astro Bot and got all the bots and puzzle pieces. I mean it's fine, but not game of the year material. Certainly not as fun as Mario Odyssey. 2024 was a very weak year for games, I guess.

Yeah I beat it too. Got it because the VR predecessor on PSVR was so revolutionary and mind blowing. That was legit GOTY shit. This was a nice game, actually really good I’d say as far as platformers go but there is no way it is deserving of GOTY. My girl really enjoys it though so that’s nice.

I've been playing a fuckload lately. in the last 5-6 weeks I've run through:

  • Dishonored: Death of the Outsider - I love this whole series. this game, while short, serves as a nice capstone. shame the chances of a full-fledged third game have dwindled.
  • Butcher - a tough as nails lil indie platformer/shooter. you are a terminator tasked with ending humanity. super violent, super fun, super challenging at higher difficulties (nb. play with a controller).
  • Doom 3: BFG Edition - hadn't replayed this in many years, and the expansions never until now (they kinda suck). I never hated on Doom 3 for trying a new approach even if the scares are often cheap.
  • Doom 1 + 2 - cos why not, right on the heels of the third. Doom 2 I'd never really played properly before.
  • Amnesia: The Bunker - this is the strongest Amnesia game since the first one, in fact its gameplay evolution makes it excel beyond that at times. really great stuff, genuinely tense and scary and never in a cheap way. highly recommend for horror fans.
  • Resident Evil 3 remake - not as bad as I was led to believe. it's definitely short but it's still fun, though the major flaw with the gameplay is shitty half-baked dodge function which is unfortunately necessary at times.
  • Ghostrunner - I like this game a lot but god damn if it didn't irritate me a hell of a lot along the way. lots of trial and error, lots of annoying platforming, lots of forced deaths. it always charmed me back though. the look+feel, music, and story all appealed to me.

Just finished them both off two with the 30th Anniversary collection. Played/beaten them both a load of time via GZDoom with and without the Brutal Doom mod but first time I've gone through the 'vanilla' versions since probably the mid 90s.

Played this reimagining/update of Doom 2 (again with the Brutal mod) a few months earlier and it definitely made me respect the level design of the OG Doom 2 a lot more than I previously did - https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/74280-the-ultimate-doom-ii-doom-ii-levels-reimagined/
