yeah she mentioned that

What if Boc really are holding the new album hostage until we solve their puzzle? They're probably getting pissed off since they've been wanting to release it for years now yet no one's been able to solve it, so they're ramping up the clue-droppage.

Hello all. Been following along to a degree...

Did anybody look at the background image on their youtube page:

http://www.youtube.com/boardsofcanada

http://i2.ytimg.com/u/9D7VN2HldiRFdxFvCcyA7A/channels3_background.jpg

Whats that, a Toyota land cruiser? Is it just a stock photo or something...?

Still a bit curious about the whole "1977 snow computing amateur footage beards synthesizer" thing. Re: "snow computing"... I'm hesitant to even mention this as I'm 99% sure it's unrelated, BUT google led me to what appears to be an interesting, yet most likely fringe steganography tool called "SNOW". The tool encrypts and decrypts messages in whitespace:

http://www.darkside.com.au/snow/

http://fog.misty.com/perry/ccs/snow/snow.html

Again, it seems pretty obscure so please don't everybody go sifting through whitespace everywhere, and regardless it would require knowledge of a password...

It appears not to be a stock photo (neither Google nor TinEye can find matches other than copies of the background posted here and at Twoism).

Are you suggesting there may be something encrypted within this particular image?

I read somewhere that the background has been the same for ages. of course, that may not be true, because someone also said that it had changed recently. either way, it's just a picture of a car with some snow, I don't think it's important

maybe mike was pimping up the yt page and that was an image that happened to be on his desktop

This seems like more of a hype generator than an actual ARG, as so far nothing really seems to require the public's input. We don't even have to look for the numbers, they keep getting shoved in our face. And even if get the last number, there doesn't seem to be any clue as to what to do with the set afterwards.

Maybe the delay is because although they'd initially meant for the numbers only to be part of an aesthetic advertising the album, they've realised by the fervour of all the analysing of what they could mean that they HAVE to mean something or there will be a lot of mildly annoyed fans/amateur mathematicians.

So they've spent the last few days desperately trying to invent a code that would fit the numbers they've given out already.

Are you serious?

Focusing on what we do know, let's revisit the clues from the Twoism banner for a second:

csch,hexagon sun,boc,hell interface,boards of canada,music70,boctransmission,hexagonsun,fyt,twoism

All of those make sense to me except for fyt. What the hell is fyt?

Guys, unrelated but I've read about a 35 track rip of an old cassette that is supposedly old BoC.

It's just labelled "Old Tunes vol.1".... Is it real?

Also... hope we find the final code soon =/... waiting for some new material especially since this code business started is killing me!

You've never heard that before? Lucky guy. There are tons of great tracks on there.

I'll sacrifice a hexagon tonight in hopes of getting the final code in the next 24 hours.

Dunno if this helps, but it's something.

Yeah I just picked it up now. It sounds 100% legit but I never know these days!

It's a reference to that song? How do you know that? And why would they reference this song in a list of things related to them?
