Historically, I believe no new candidate has ever won against someone who was already president. That’s why they kept Biden going for so long, even though he was no longer really fit for the role and everyone knew it well in advance. Her being a black woman made it even less likely statistically

the thing is Trump probably *did* cheat in this election. but no-one is going to spend the next three weeks counting votes or rioting outside ballot stations to support Harris.

i’m worried for a lot of people here and around the world. i know there’s already 4 years of Trump on the books before but honestly not certain this will only be 4 more for Trump…the vote counts make clear the country as a whole is shifting rightward. sad to see.
