Geez, after 3 weekends I finally completed Darksiders. I could have kept collecting items, shards, and trophies for another few weeks. However I'm going to keep pushing through my back catelog. After getting the Abyssal Armor and a couple legendaries I went for the final boss, roughly at the 20 hour mark.

Mild Spoiler about the Final Boss (not story related):

Darksiders was pretty awesome. The story, characters, art design, puzzles, combat .. all were top notch. The only real critisim I can say is that there is nothing in this game that you haven't seen before. Its the mutant offspring of God of War/Zelda. This is a good thing! 8.5/10

Next I'd move onto something different, but I'm getting Dark Souls in the mail on Tuesday and don't think I will have time to finish a game before that. Since Dark Souls will be a 60+ hour game, I might start something else in the background. Thinking about either Prince of Persia or Enslaved next that would be stress free things to play on the side.

Assassin's Creed 1 is a pretty awful game. Incredibly boring and repetitive. ACII definitely gets better the further in you get, but starts out kinda slow... the story was worth it, though.

ACII is way better than the first one. Give it another chance.

I was somewhat disappointed that all the bosses leading up to the last made you really push the way you used particular items. However, the last boss didn't do anything with the mask you aquire. The boss wasen't a push over by any means, but I was sorta expecting it to be a bit more challenging.

enslaved is a good game and fairly short, could be a good choice to play.

I've installed Bioshock 2 and WOULD LIKE TO FUCKIN' PLAY but you need to create a widows live account and go through a thousand of internet pages so you can be registered. Assholes.

Also, I've seen some videos from Diablo III beta and am very excited

how long are we gonna wait ?...

I heard they delayed it till 2012...

dark souls isn't a ps3 exclusive.

 

but as joyrex and acid have said, demon's souls is. They are extending keeping the servers up at least throughout 2012. The online features are nice.

Not true, atmosphere is unique, level design is stunning, graphics are realistic, sound design and score is amazing ( i actually bought the orchestral sound track), challenging boss fights, unique multiplayer capabilities, in game holidays/events (shifting towards light and dark tendencies), interesting crafting system (that is basically essential), vast lore subtly given though text, multiple endings, multiple NG+'s, permanent in game statues of the highest rated players, permanent consequences (npc deaths from quest lines etc), vast arrays of weaponry with various stat requirements, hardcore pvp...

 

Also I firmly believe the difficulty is relative to how patient you are. Slow and steady is the pace of this game. I can't beat Ninja Gaiden 2, but Demon's Souls is always fair. You only die cuz you decided to run through some hallway and didn't notice the demon's hiding behind the pillars. Every enemy has a pattern and a weakness, including bosses.

I agree with patience being the key. The game is only as hard as you make it. Also, picking the right class is very important. The classes, depending on what you choose, really change the difficulty for better or for worse.

Royalty was by far the easiest for me.

Picked up the ICO & SotC Collection. played about 20 mins of ICO. They did a pretty good job of making this HD. The textures look a lot better than the PS2 version. Can't wait to finish ICO and start a game of SotC.

Yeah, I finally figured it out - building up my level, as I foolishly attempted to go into the mines and the wolves (aka War Dogs) tore my ass up... Gonna take your advice and keep the Demon Souls for the important stuff. Right now trying to work my way through the gauntlet (the section with the dragon who keeps flaming the bridge) and make it to the end.

The Battlefield 3 beta is awesome! graphics are still sub-par IMO, but the gameplay is amazing. Very visceral. BF is like a thinking man's CoD.

My 360 slim is getting this wack ass E82 error every time I turn it on, and haven't sent it in yet, so that's off limits. I just finished Flow last week, which was awesome. The sixaxis controls work surprisingly well. Going to pick up the Ico/SotC pack tomorrow or start Arkham Asylum again.

Very very boring game. Shit story and voice acting as usual. I enjoyed the two first games for the gameplay, but man this is boring. Nothing new in game, same old shit. Why couldn't I just have waited till it was cheaper. sigh.
