Video Games What video games are you currently playing?

nah chriss stick with the halo 3 multiplayer maps, theyre a lot better than the reach ones. i think the people who made the maps for halo 3 were working on other stuff when reach was made , not sure though. thats what it seems like. the maps are pretty poorly designed in reach, maybe because of the armor abilities.

and PS idk maybe youre on at the wrong times , theres usually lots of people playing when i go on,well not lots but a fair amount. definitely enough to get into games.

just rage quit quakelive for the third time today. I need to quit playing that fucking game, not sure what it is about it that is able to incite so much anger in me (more so than any other game or activity in general, actually.) I'm really bad at the game, not sure why I have the expectation of ever being decent.

Yeah I have ME 2 already so I got DS 2 for preordering lol. Although I already beat DS 2 when I torrented it when it first came out. Maybe now I'll play its online.

Also Demons Souls is a fantastic game. I was mad at first (all the dying) but when I found out that you are supposed to die that much I felt better about myself.

I was lucky (can't believe I"m saying this) and got a cold so I stayed home for a while, I spent three days straight playing Demons Souls non-stop till I beat it. Best gaming session of my life.

And here. I basically spend my entire time playing it wishing it was ISS 64 then I give up.

ab out halfway through chrono cross....i don't remember it being this easy....it sure is fun though.

The satisfaction levels from success are ridiculous! Completing a level was more satisfying than completing a lot of games that I've played over the last few years.....let alone completing the game.....

Reminds me of Ninja Gaiden Black on the hardest difficulty setting. I ruined the springs in my bed from punching it. What a difficult and frustrating game. Tons of satisfaction from beating it though. I really felt like a true ninja.

Anyways, I'm currently going for the Heavy Rain platinum.

It was an adrenaline addiction for me. You'd be so hopped up on adrenaline going through the levels hoping a black phantom wouldn't invade. The fact that you can't pause either makes bathroom breaks hilarious.

The best (or worst) is when you beat the game, and have to go through the first level again in NG+ before you can spend/store you souls.

I had dreams about Demon's Souls for weeks.

I'm thinking about picking up RE4 HD remake for the ps3. Has anyone tried this yet? I never finished it the first time I played. I got to a castle kind of level and that was it.(I think i rented it for ps2).

It is supposedly a bit of a disappointing port and the controls are still missing the side step function. But it's still RE4 (one of the best games ever) so if you're not expecting any special next-gen features then it shouldn't be that bad.

is the side step thing something from the Wii port? Anyways, as long as it isn't different I will probably pick it up for ps3. But just read some review and it sounds like the graphics are pretty ugly, i can deal with it.

I got it last night (haven't played it yet), but apparently it's a direct port of the Wii version, and features upscaled (not remastered) textures. Goddamn Capcom - don't call it "HD" if it really isn't. Other than the graphical issues, Trophies are now added (although no Platinum), and it's still the best game in the RE series, so if you have PlayStation Plus, you can get it for 10 bucks. Not worth the full 20USD they are charging non-Plus members.

meh i paid for it anyways, hopefully it is good enough for me to enjoy it.

oh man owning any copy of RE4 is worth it, if not to go through the game a second time with the machine gun and fuck up those annoying fucking blind monsters

it actually looks pretty nice. Better than the reviews say. I mean, it is obviously upscaling, while keeping the original textures, but at least everything looks clean on screen. It is better than playing a ps1 classics game, for example. looks pretty good on my big HD tv. Obviously not current gen graphics, but not distractingly bad or detracting from the experience either.

Yeah, as long as the graphics look clean, then it's not so bad. The 2 God Of War Collections are a great example of upscaling. It looks fantastic on my 47" 1080p TV. Very clean. Very enjoyable to have great games available in HD versions. I'm really looking forward to the Metal Gear Solid HD collection. From what I've seen, it's another great example of upscaling.

I'm really close to having the Heavy Rain platinum. Should have it in another hour or so.
