i would rather play it on pc too but i havent had a gaming spec pc since like 2004

Holy shit kids... BF3 is the real deal. Only 3 rounds on the one map? in the beta, but it's very nice!!! Smooth as hell, with the new suppressive shooting mechanics I feel it makes you play more realistically. You can't see right when people are shooting at you, so no bullshit "step out from cover and one-shot the guy shooting at you" bullshit from what I've seen. The player movement is fluid as hell, shooting mechanics felt great on the guns I tried, and the sound is even better than BFBC2.

Dammit EA. I get no early access because I pre-ordered it too late? Assholes. :(

Ordered FIFA on origin as well. It's working ok, but downloading a bit slow...

Not true, atmosphere is unique, level design is stunning, graphics are realistic, sound design and score is amazing ( i actually bought the orchestral sound track), challenging boss fights, unique multiplayer capabilities, in game holidays/events (shifting towards light and dark tendencies), interesting crafting system (that is basically essential), vast lore subtly given though text, multiple endings, multiple NG+'s, permanent in game statues of the highest rated players, permanent consequences (npc deaths from quest lines etc), vast arrays of weaponry with various stat requirements, hardcore pvp...

 

Also I firmly believe the difficulty is relative to how patient you are. Slow and steady is the pace of this game. I can't beat Ninja Gaiden 2, but Demon's Souls is always fair. You only die cuz you decided to run through some hallway and didn't notice the demon's hiding behind the pillars. Every enemy has a pattern and a weakness, including bosses.

Trust me, I'm a huge fan of From Software's games (I played the crap out of their games that came before Demon's Souls (Kings Field I-IV, and Eternal Ring on PS2) and while they're not the cutting edge of graphics or animation (which is where my statement was directed), their games have an innate quality to them that makes them appealing even though on the surface they don't appear to be much.

Hmmm... makes me want to get back to Demon's Souls and keep plodding along...

Ahh, yeah the graphics aren't bad, but it is funny when the 0-weight dead monsters get stuck between your feet as you run around, and end up getting flung 50 feet in a random direction.

I started a game in Infamous 2. It's pretty good so far.

From Software probably wrote their own engine (don't recall if I saw a Havok or Unreal logo anywhere the last time I played it), since that's how From rolls.

Getting really excited for Dark Souls, as well as Lord of the Rings: War in the North. This holiday season will break me.

city of heroes is now free, my gf said she used to play it and i should give it a go so we started characters. pretty fun so far!

Just finished Half Life 2. Fucking GMan, he opens a portal just to make me close it, he lets the combine in just to make me battle them. Fuck you gman.

okay I got all the orbs in limbo, but now I need to get the "beat the game in one sitting with 5 or less deaths" trophy, which sounds fucking impossible.

I also beat RE4 what a great game. I started playing the extras that come with it. They didn't take the time to upgrade the cutscenes for the extras though, which is kind of lame but at least they gave them to us.

Devil May Cry 4.

I fucking loved the first one , never played teh sequels, and then my friend loaned me this one....it has received mixed reviews (backtracking being the big problem), but there was a good bit of backtracking in the first one too..so i should enjoy this..

battlfield 3 beta wooooooooow impressive

almost thru Uncharted 2, big improvement on the first. The backdrops are proper epic and even put GOW3 and MGS4 to shame

you have to adapt to the way fifa12 plays, and i think sometimes the 'collision' feature is set too high.. i dunno if its an improvement ori just need to get used to it.. i think once i got the hang of the new defence itll be alright
