I did start playing Deus Ex reasonably stealthily. Entered the bizzies via the ladders after the sewer lock told me FU. Tranq'd and vented a few people but something happened. I don't know why, but I pulled a 187 on every dumb AI cop in the place. I exited back down the ladders, walked to the front of the police station and nobody cared. Enter. Exit. Shot to death. I wonder if not being able to go in the police station will cause me any problems later?

Once you're done with the police station stuff near the beginning, I don't think you ever need to worry about it again. Might want to be careful though, I've heard of all the cops going crazy aggressive on people the rest of their game for massacring the station.

I don't think so. I'd honestly wait for a price drop, it has tons of bugs right now, and there are tons of major titles coming in the next few months.

just played dead island for a couple of hours, i dunno, it's better than i thought it would be and i didn't encounter one single bug but i can see it getting boring after a while. maybe i should just skip the quests and go on a grinding spree?

Yeah the bugs seem to be pretty hit or miss. The big one is apparently that your save data might randomly disappear, at least on consoles... As to the boring part yeah, the fetch quests can get old... and the game is one giant fetch quest. I'm breaking them up by just exploring the island and/or going on zombie killing sprees.

Yeah, apparently they knew about it when they released the game. The patch was supposed to come out day 1, but M$ and Sony have really drawn-out approval processes, even for patches.

You'd think that particular patch would get a sped up approval. At least the devs give a shit about fixing it.

I'm glad they want to fix it, but I'm also irritated that the game was released, with the devs and publisher knowing the issues were there. Why not delay it one more week to fix the issue?

It's definitely annoying. Who wants to have their 75% complete save deleted?

Rather than just delaying the game they should have put all their resources into approving the patch for day 1. Not like it's a graphical bug or something. Messed up priorities.

Yeah, but sadly the patch approval bullshit is Microsoft/Sony red tape that the devs/pulishers can't do anything about. They want ot make sure that the patches actually do what they're supposed to and don't further break the game, I guess. :trashbear:

I remember entering one of the bathrooms in Doom 3 and looking into the mirror when all of a sudden things you see a person behind you and everything turns red shit turns to total chaos. I turned the game off after that.

But right now I'm playing Rock of Ages. Great fun.

just played through the hotel in dead island, that was actually kinda creepy. i dunno if it's a bug but there were these constant really loud zombie screams all around me, even when there were noone there.

Playing Dead Island. Mediocre game, but kind of interesting none-the-less. The Australian accents in it a fucking terrible. Which is funny because I've been playing the Hong Kong level in the original Deus Ex. The 2 Australian girls you meet at the night club...I think I cringed so hard I pulled a muscle. "Thanks for getting me in!".

In the prologue of Dead Island when it has you running away from 3 Level 50 Infected zombies. There is a magic door to the left side you can hide in and beat the crap out of the zombies from behind.
