Was enjoying Outland on the PS3.

Got up to the flying boss battle (similar to the flying Shadow of the Colossus colossus)

Beat the boss, and the game crashed on the loading screen for the next level. Further to that, the save file is now corrupted and gives me an error message. Shattered : (

i have high hopes for skyrim even though i wasn't a huge fan of oblivion or bethesda's fallouts

things like free roaming unscripted dragons to make travel exciting, super detailed items, living economy, nordic stuff, dual weilding spells (i hope there will be something like magicka where you'll be able to combine different spells for different effects), abandoned unified leveling are all good things.

nice i finally beat la noire a couple weeks back. just saw the multiplayer trailer for MW3 and im pretty psyched now. they revamped the entire killstreak system and now you can upgrade your own personal weapons, seems to be a little deeper more towards the RPG side

LA Noire was brilliant. One of my favourite games of this generation.

Playing Heavy Rain right now. Trying to get the platinum. The graphics are amazing. If only they had the same facial animation quality as LA Noire. Then it would be perfect.

anyone here play rock of ages on xbox or steam ?? its a really fun game you should get it

heres a giant bomb quick look http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-rock-of-ages/17-4795/

basically its like an rts racing game, ur tryin to knock the other guys castle door down and squish him b4 he does the same to you. you guys both get to earn money by smashing thru buildings and stuff on your way to the enemy castle and then you get to spend it on defenses for your own castle after each round. its really fun theres lots of tricks to learn in both aspects of building good traps and also getting through the maps fast, like you can do super jumps off rocks and skip whole parts of levels and make a bunch of fans to blow the badguy off the edge .

its seriously outrageous fun

sounds just weird enough that I might like it.

So many awesome games coming out in oct/nov. Batman AC, AC Revelations, Uncharted 3, MGS HD Collection, ICO Collection, Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, Battlefield 3, TES V Skyrim. Just to name a few.

Ohmy, that's worse than Oblivion. :D I'm going to try before I buy with this one...

Edit: it appears you can't go into third person mode normally though. So it is excusable. :)

I decided to attack my back log of unfinished games. I'm running broke and I can't afford any new games this holiday season.

I've started with Bullet Storm. I noticed a lot of my backlog games are shooters, so I figured that would be a good one to hone my skills on. So far I'm actually enjoying it. The story is horrible, but its so bad it begins to be entertaining, like Godzilla. Shooting actually feels great, and enemies respond the way you'd like them to. One thing I can say about the friendly AI is they very rarely get in the way and never die. So bonus points for that.

You will find yourself entering a huge battleground with no enemies yet. You will quickly scout out all the walls and various environment things you can throw enemies onto or make explode, and you find yourself using your leash and kick far more then hiding and sniping. Speaking of which the sniper rifle ... almost is sacrilegious, as it requires you to guide the bullet after you fire each one.

The game is taking forever... mostly due to MSG4 style cut scenes (which is pointless cuz the acting is not even par, I'm watching them regardless of whether I've been regretting every single one of them). I clocked the intro part of the game (up to Chapter 1 Act 1) as taking 40 minutes!!!

I think I'm somewhere in chapter 5 out of 7. I can't work on it tonight, I'm hoping to finish it by Wednesday or Thursday.

I've gone back to finally getting around to finishing Dead Space on Impossible difficulty... up to Chapter 3 so far after not touching it for more than a year.

What happened with Dead Island? it seems they released the developer's console, debug build instead of the game itself

Deep Silver has responded to our inquiries with the following statement:

"We deeply regret that an incorrect version of Dead Island was inadvertently made available to players on Steam launch in North America. We are very sorry for any issues you may have experienced while playing the game - the correct, patched version will be made available to North American players ASAP."
