Also I bought Dragon Age Origins for cheap, so I'll be playing that afterward.

lol, that was a pretty unbiased seeming comparison. I give them credit for appearing to be completely fair, while mostly they were. I definitely have known for a long time that the PS3 is supposed to be more powerful but yeah some of the information like the ps3's processor being over 3 times more powerful is extremely misleading. It's just based on Sony's press report from 5 years ago. No game developer will ever push that CPU 2/3rds as hard as Sony claimed it could be. Still waiting for a PS3 to blow 360's out of the water.

But I don't really play video games anymore and if I do its a PC game but I still find the technology and politics behind the industry very interesting. I really hope that motion control and 3D are actually used properly though. That would be cool but I see it as being an individually huge let down.

It takes double as much power to run stereoscopic shutter 3D and requires 120hz tv/mointors with Nvidia's technology that I can understand looking flawless with 60hz in each eye and really powerful hardware but on consoles I don't think its going to be that impressive. We will see. I have even less optimism for motion control

I saw that... looks pretty much the same, except the D-pad can rotate and extend upwards for better control...

65USD for it is pretty high though; although it does come with the charge-n-play module... (why can't MS build this into the controllers as standard?)

Yes. Obsessed I am. I would love to play Metroid Prime again. It's been years. Metroid Prime 2 kicked my ass. I never made it through that 1. I never played Prime 3. Also, I think the new Metroid came out today. Makes me wish I had a wii. I got that LSD game for the playstation tho. Once I get around to it I'll prob give that a go, along with a few others.

The story is very

it's like something out of Final Fantasy 10 more so than a Metriod game, so much emo whiny bullshit

which wouldn't bother me if it wasn't so intrusive

and they do this lame character intro thing after the first boss, it was actually a cheesy/funny moment

remember the first Metroid where you press start and immediately play the game? what happened to that?!

But the gameplay is good, it's like a 3D version of Super Metriod

when you switch views you get bullet time and you get melee attacks so you don't die because of it

you can also jump on enemies while charged up and explode them

I tried playing Fallout 3, but the disc fucked up, so I traded it with another, and it still would freeze on the loading screen in some areas.

So I traded that in for Mass Effect 2. Just finished it a couple days ago. Logged almost 40 hours. Can't wait for the next one.

Just downloaded a demo of Scott Pilgrim on Xbox.

I don't know if there's an upgrade to make your character faster, but walking between laborious fight got pretty boring, pretty quickly.

It looks and sounds nice, but that and the fact that it's a side-scrolling beat-em-up WITHOUT online functionality or drop-in players kind of defeats the point.

I've got 900 Xbox points if anyone can recommend something awesome. I might wait for Costume Quest (from the makers of Grim Fandango), or perhaps there's additional stuff I can buy when Fifa11 and NBA2K11 are out.

Can't wait for those.
