When I mentioned the graphics improvements some few pages ago that was what I was talking about. It looks awesome and a lot better IMO.

The real game is usually played on a 19x19 grid, but I calculated that then the whole board wouldn't be seen except from its middle.

thanks. some bragging info: The lines are made of obsidian, the imitation of wood (everything else) from condensed sand. There are some crappy looking deserts in the vicinity.

I was thinking - how feasibly is a map transplant? Seeing as no one plays on the server anymore, and most of the recent construction has happened very far out in the existing map (~20,000) - would it be at all possible to copy this to another server.

there's a plugin that lets you save all the territory you explore (ie all chunks within view) to a local map.

gives me an idea though. It would be cool to have a mode where you have to buy new areas to access them for new useful items etc.
