This album holds up brilliantly to repeated listens

It holds up for 3 listens, to be exact.

I WAS regretting splurging on the newspaper album, I was wondering why they didn't show the tracklist when they first put it up for sale... :trap:

But now that I've seen pictures of it, I think it's quite nifty. Splurge :nyan:

I would say your 'splurges' were well spent if that was pre-soaked in LSD.....

We thought you'd like to know that production was quicker than

we had anticipated, so we are now sending you your copy of

The King Of Limbs Newspaper Edition.

rather pleased : )

I'll reserve proper judgement on the Newspaper Album til I have it in my hands, but I feel a lot less excited after seeing the images of it. Dunno what I was expecting really, but the newspaper itself just looks like a bigger version of the hidden booklet in the Kid A CD. And I hope I don't have to tear that plastic cover. Probably be a different story when it turns up though. Anyone here got theirs yet?

Easily.

just made my own b-sides playlist of:

1. Supercollider

2. Hearing Damage

3. The Butcher

4. The Hollow Earth

5. Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses

sure, i've including/excluding songs which do/don't fit with the king of limbs period, but this collection of songs works nicely and has a relatively nice consistent electronic sound : )

For me, Bloom and The Butcher have the odd line or two of lyrics that reach out and grab me and stick in my mind, regardless of any context. One thing I love about Radiohead is Thom York's turn of phrase, and if there's anything I feel let down with by TKOL it's that that seems to be missing.

Radiohead – The King of Limbs: Live From The Basement is a 55-minute performance from one of the most successful and critically acclaimed acts of their generation, who have sold over 30 million albums worldwide. The programme will feature the notoriously elusive band performing the entirety of their celebrated new album in a studio setting with some additional behind the scenes material. It is scheduled to be the first time that the grammy-award winners are captured on camera this year.

seeing as the king of limbs album is 37 minutes, curious as to what else is included in the performance. i love their webcasts + in rainbows from the basement session, so i am very looking much forward to this

Got the newspaper album today. Comes in a sealed plastic bag that I'm scared to open, it's going to be a nightmare to look after so I'm tempted just to leave it sealed

hehe I can totally understand that. Also when you put the newspaper on the wall an damage it by doing that.

i might leave mine sealed too.

glad you agree. it's one of those really flimsy plastic bags which'll get stretched and the stuff will fall out and it'll look a mess with my other vinyl. A shame really, I like the concept but another IR discbox would have suited me really...
