yeah that was my point...CEOs of these huge companies is some of the most publicly available information possible. taking their names off the website's About Us pages is beyond useless. if someone wants to take out the CEO they're going to try a little harder than just going 'oh, shit...the webpage took down that guy's name and picture? fuck, i'll never find out now, guess i can't murder today!'

Yea. Gotta say it’s difficult to point the bigger criminal. Imo, that ceo got away with murder for a long time. In a very indirect way. But with a lot more casualties. And behind the veil of “corporate” legality. Or in other words, it was technically legal but completely immoral.

there's not much difference between a health insurance company CEO and someone firing a handgun blindly into a crowd.  there's so many stories about insurance companies fucking people over in so many ways. one story i recall is a guy who had a workplace accident and had 2 fingers cut off. the fingers were saved and brought to hospital. doctors said it was possible with high probability of regaining full use etc to reattach them.. insurance said to pick one finger because they wouldn't pay for both to be reattached...

but there's countless stories about people dying because insurance companies are dicks. or people going bankrupt and selling their house and everything they own and having to live in their car or whatever.. absolute horrors.

Yeah how fucked up has it got where medical debt is the # 1 cause of bankruptcy* in this country. Don't forget these fucks brought us the opioid epidemic, settled for chump change, and moved on to making more bank selling solutions to the problem they created.

My non-US brothers in Christ might be interested to know that student loan debt cannot be discharged by bankruptcy in the US. That shit is shackled to you for life.

and student debt is directly because of ronald reagan and J Edgar Hoover.  in the 60s when students were protesting the war in vietnam they were making a lot of noise in berkeley. at the time, reagan was governor of california. J eedgar hoover called the president of UC Berkely and said "you need to expel these students for protesting".. president of the university said  "no. they have 1st amendment rights.. not going to kick them ou tof school".  so, j edgar hoover calls governor ronnie reagan... they come up with the idea of making college expensive and offering student loans so these working class kids can't get too involved in things and fight the system because they'll graduate w/debt and will have to be part of the system to pay their bills... so, that started in california.. and as w/a lot of things.. what starts in Cali eventually spreads to the rest of the country... so, the 60s were the dawn of student debt as a means of controlling people. worth mentioning those students protesting weren't fucking around.. they took over a park and called it the people's park.. there were tensions and battles w/cops there.. eventually the cops were fed up and sent in to clear the park.. a bunch of people got beat up and many of them were cops! 2 cops got fckn stabbed and a lot were sent to hospital. some of those boomers knew the score. what happened? now can't even protest israel over genocide.

below a united healthcare example of shittiness.

Which is exactly why I lived at home during college so that I could afford to pay everything off at the time (with the help of my parents), and then get a Ph.D. in a STEM field where that shit is paid for plus a stipend.

...some of the most popular internet sleuths have sat out the investigation.

“We’re pretty apathetic towards that,” Savannah Sparks, who has 1.3 million followers on her TikTok account — where she tracks down and reveals the identities of people who do racist or seemingly criminal acts in viral videos — said about helping to identify the shooter. She added that, rather than sleuthing, her community has “concepts of thoughts and prayers. It’s, you know, claim denied on my prayers there,” referring to rote and unserious condolences.

Although Sparks, 34, has been tapped by law enforcement in the past to help train officers on how to find suspects online, according to emails seen by NBC News, she said this time she isn’t interested in helping police.

Sparks, who also works in health care as a lactation consultant and holds a doctorate of pharmacy, didn’t mince words when asked if her community was working to find the suspect in Thompson’s murder.

“Absolutely the f--- not,” she said.
